C32 Vs late-model SL500
Yeah, yeah, I know - not really a fair fight. It looked like this:
It wasn't an SL55 AMG, or the story would have been different. Anyways, I don't think the old guy driving it realized what he was sitting next to at the red light. My lane was due to end (merge) in only 1/8 mile, and he must've thought he was going to blow past the lowly C-class to his right and stay in front at the merge.
Light changes, he nails it. I didn't think he was going to race, so I hadn't brake torqued and my car was in "w" mode (ESP off). I just stomped on it and let the Quaife keep me hooked up. Bye bye!
I'd still trade my car for his in a heartbeat - but then I'd just turn around, sell it, and use the cash to buy and heavily Kleemannize a C55

A Beater
Some hot Asian chick in a 03 and up CLK500 smiled and revved her engine at my DEBADGED C55. I looked at her lost in a trance not realizing the light had turned green and off she goes. It didn't take mcuh time before I caught up and pulled 2 to 3 car length in front of her. She starts to pull next to me and play with her hair and my woman was . Or maybe she was flirting with my woman .
Nevertheless, nice kill and well done...

Don't have a Mercedes right now...
m3_eater, a couple of questions about Quaife LSD;
did you notice significant improvement with Quaife LSD ? I thought that C32 and C43's had Limited Slip diff to start with or maybe not.
Also, did the ASR system become less effective with the Quaife? Supposingly, ASR can apply the brakes individually to control the car from from getting into a skid, but since Quaife locks both wheels, wouldn't it be hard for ASR to brake in only 1 wheel?

The C32/C55 were/are not available with a limited-slip differential. This, IMHO, is a major shortcoming of the W203 AMG cars. The Quaife unit is the first true LSD offered, and I can't say enough good things about it. I'm not trying to hijack the thread, even though I started it - so for more just look here:

Edit: by the way, the Quaife unit does not lock both wheels - it simply redirects the power to the wheel with more grip at all times. ASR is still fully functional - you just experience less intrusion from it

[QUOTE=TopGun32]must of the 500's I see, really are driving aggressively.[QUOTE]
You know, you are right there. Even here in Jersey, I see some R230 500's driving very hard. Even had the opportunity to play with one on the highway.
