i was on my way home after two hours of shooting pool (i know, i know, i was bored aiit). anyway, when i left the parking lot of Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights there were one silver Audi S4 and follow by another black E46 M3 convertible behind me. as i got on to the 60 fwy heading east they followed and guns it before me (i have some slow car in front of me, so i was at some what at a disadvantage), but i managed to stay in front of the S4. the M3 conv. was behind the S4. It was already 12 at night so there were no traffic. when i got into the open lane i floored the gas pedal and depress the kick down buttom. From the rear view mirror, the S4 became smaller and smaller. First started with half car length, by the time i was running 120 i got about 5-6 car lead on the S4 and the M3 conv was no where to be found. all i see is their four shinny xenon lights in the traffic behind me.

they probably had let off when i began to gain more and more grounds.

it's the first time i have the chance to get it on with the S4 or a M3.

the S4 was lowered, but probably no mod to the engine. the M3 conv was simply to heavy to compete.

anyway, it was nice to see those two car together. (those two cars were outing together i think) and i'm sure it is much nicer for other people on the road to see three crazy C32, S4 and M3 together.

that is soo badd ***... i live near dimond bar... and thats a good story.. i just like it because of smokin the m3.. cuz i have 2 friends which i hang around which are e46 ppl... 330 ci and m3 and they like to pick on me cuz i have a c240 and cant catch up to them... so i like it when a mbz smokes them =)

Neways. It must be fun runnin with cars your in your class. I always wanted to run with an A4, 330, and IS300....(in one time), but it never happens.

I hate people driving M3, they just thought they are the King on the road. I went to wrong cafe which fill with Bimmer maniac one time driving my C320. The M3 owner asked me how much HP I got on my car....!!! oohhh it's driving me mad. and I came back the day after with my S500, just to shut them up. If I have the $$$ to buy M3, I rather get C32 or used CLK 55 ...!!!! I love hearing Benz Smoke M3.... Good Job!!!!
For Now E46 M3 is still nice... but let see next year, you can see M3 more than Honda Accord. LOL

i know what you mean, everyone in Rowland Heights, Walnut, and Diamond Bar areas drives either BMW or MB.

actually i use to have a 2000 328Ci, but i only pick on 323ci, 325ci, 323i or 325i. i would not pick on the MBs because i know that only BMW drivers think they are better.

Where do you think they all came from. Back in the day your "ricers" were called "racers". I used to do it in high school (Bay Area) to first year in college (LA). Cali is racer heaven.

i'm almost there every weekend. if you see a obsidian C32 without the side "V6 k" badge, and a little blue cow stuff toy on the front dash (don't ask me why i put it there, it's always been there ever since i started to drive, in my 328ci, the beetle and now C32) that would be me.

The difference in weight between your cars (not very much) is virtually negligible once you are rolling.

Thanks . I've been keeping my eye out for C32's. Now that I know you debadged your "V6 Kompressor" I'll know what to look for . I usually cruise around in the X5 3.0 during the weekends and there will be no way in hell you'll be able to pinpoint it , but I try to drive the C32 as much as possible

why would you call your S4 slow? it is pretty fast against the C43 and the U.S. spec E36 M3. you just need some mod chips to make it 300 + hps

Sorry Frank, I was just playing, I do have a stage 2 S4 (x-chip, exhaust, upgraded bpv's) that is estimated at 320-330 hp, 370-80 ft. lbs. torq...I never got a chance to run against a C32, C43, or E46 M3, I wish! Only thing I ran against is mostly few American muscle, camaro ss and couple 'stang gt's which i more less disposed of...I did get in a tussle with a very, very HOT turboed integra, he chirped 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear and was glued to my **** all the way thru mid 3rd, then i started pulling away from 80 mph on...but that was scary! I'm in the market for a C32 and would love to run against one just to see the difference...I'd like to do it from a roll and also freeway speed...from a stop the S4 would have a big advantage with a quattro launch...

i'm thinking that if your S4 made around 370-80 lb/ft of torque it should be able to take the C32 or the E46 M3, unless it has problem putting all the power to the ground. the C32 make 332 lb/ft of torque and puts around 280-90 lb to the pavement. The C32 does have more hps (349).

btw where are you from? my last car was the 2000 328ci which for the price i could've gotten the S4 auto, but i went with the Bimmer because i thought the A4 was going under redesign in 01. i really like to see how the S4 rides and how fast are they. maybe you can give me a ride someday

you're right, the a4 did get a makeover in 02' with the new s4 coming out in 03'...i would of gotten the auto(tiptronic) s4 over the auto 328, but would take the c32 over an auto s4, the c32 has a much more refined auto tranny, hence my interest in getting one and selling my 6 speed s4..don't get me wrong, i love my s4 but family dynamics change and wife requires an auto, so i wanted something that was similar in performance or better...btw, i call myself the slowestS4 cause there's a lot of guys throwing in larger turbos and turbo-back exhaust systems, etc. and getting 400+ hp...there's a guy on the eastcoast that's pushing 500+ hp on his daily driver, runs sub 12 sec. 1/4 mile runs...he's the poster child for AWE tuning, www.awe-tuning.com, check it out...oh, i'd let you drive my car but i'm on a rock pile in the pacific, hawaii...
