C32 AMG vs. BMW M3
This was Tuesday, february 20th. Driving down La jolla village dr. back from P.F. Chengs with 2 buddies in my car I pull up to a red light. It's 3 lanes, and the car to my right just happens to be a dark grey/carbon M3. Without hesitation i dope it into N, and rev on this guy. I haven't gotton a chance to race any M3's(from a dead start) since i've gotton my car, so i've been iching to race one The guy looks over at us, but doesn't rev back. I figure he's not going to budge, but i drop it into manual anyways just in case he tries anything. The light turns green, and i wait for a half second to see if he's going to go.. I see his car lurch forward, and after that i stomped my throttle. He had gotton an initial jump, but only until about 25 mph, after about 30 mph i was pulling away hard from this M3, and kept pulling away until i hit about 70mph, and then slowing down for traffic beating him by about 1.5-2 lengths ...Put this one in the books.
I actually waited to see if this guy was going to budge before i hit the gas, and i still beat him easily! I was pretty suprised he didn't put up much of a fight. Anyways, the story doesn't end there. A little ways down the road we get another light, just me and the M3. No revving this time, i know he wants revenge on me. Right as the light turns green I hit the gas, and get an amazing launch. Out of my peripheral i see a flashing light..i look back and the M is still on the line...the flashing was his lights turning off from stalling his car!!!!
. This guy clearly doesn't know how to drive his car, and who better to make him pay than a Benz!

most m3 drivers don't know how to drive. whether it be launching or shifting, they just dont know what they're doing. I had problems at first changing gears too early, the engine is just screaming at 8k so most people change around 6 out of habit...

I have the February '07 issue of CAR sitting on my desk right now, you know what's on the cover??? The E92 M3. Stunning, beautiful, breathtaking, and LOW. But you know what? Its seriously underpowered at 420bhp compared to the competition which will sport not only more hp but more torque. 0-60 in 4.9 is quoted in this early Review/Preview, that's not going to impress me any time soon gents.

I have the February '07 issue of CAR sitting on my desk right now, you know what's on the cover??? The E92 M3. Stunning, beautiful, breathtaking, and LOW. But you know what? Its seriously underpowered at 420bhp compared to the competition which will sport not only more hp but more torque. 0-60 in 4.9 is quoted in this early Review/Preview, that's not going to impress me any time soon gents.

The E46 went to the buffet... The new M wont look as bad as going from the E36 to the E46 in terms of weight.. But its still junking on the weight... The main thing that will give the low 0-60 times will be the SMG.. Like on the M5 and past E46 M3 we will get a crapped down launch control.. I hope the new M comes with a 6 speed manual, if so I will be in the market for one when they come out and the waiting list is gone. If not the 335i sedan looks good.

nice kill...
we have argued the C32 vs M3 to death on this board, mutch respect to the E46.
I would say he was a poor driver.. since the M3 should beat the C32 off the line.
from a roll.. it would be up to reactio time.
