Why does everyone think its so hard to launch a C5 its actually fairly easy to launch these cars consistently as they really dont like a hard launch, just an easy roll-out and stomp then its bye-bye. I have witnessed with my own eyes a bone stock C5 ZO6 run high 11's at 118. I have the same motor as you have in my w210 albeit not modified as yours but i am of the opinion that it is wishful thinking to beat one of these cars from a dig or a roll.
Jay also ,if you drove my C43 without the mods and just the 5.5L motor you would feel that it's an entirely different beast than a W210 E55. My MPH was low and my 60 ft was horrible and still managed to pull a low 13 but with an anemic mph. The car was driving like it had a bad MAF and the CEL was on.

i thought you weren't afraid of any Z06? This was your quote on the other thread....."No disrespect but I fear no Z06,no BMW M5,no AMG anything and definitely Not an Audi!". Just wondering what you meant since you stated you fear no Z06 (which would include a new C6 Z06)-
If you're gonna flame do it without misquoting me b4 jumping on the Band Wagon!! Thanks for adding the new C6 Z06 part too. no worries. Just bring the blue pig to NY and we can see how it runs!

Dude...I know it's nice to have a quick car and to be addicted to modding, but there is no way you will beat a C5 Z06 or a C6 vette.
My C32 weighs around 3300lbs and had 360Whp / 360Trq the last time it was on the Dyno and I still have a hard time beating a stock C6.

Again who cares! And stck your car weighs more than mine. However like I said who cares i just want to run one and see for myself. No crimes no harm done. Is that ok?

Pete,if UPS delivers these headers today,I'm hoping Jeffrey can put them on tomorrow so I won't make a promise. Perhaps I'll just come out with the BMW. And Pete, please tell these guys how my lil Benz runs!

LOL....Well put it this way the old setup Carl had was good enough to give SRT8/e39 M5's etc serious run for the money...Very close races..and you know how fast those cars are...Cant imagine what it will do now.....If Carl brings a car out dont take it lightly regardless of what you think lol...I learned that the hard way with his 325 BMW.
Heres to hoping the UPS guy delivers on time...I wanna see that beast Sunday

First off, do you know how many vettes are in Texas? Let's put it this way, it is the "exotic" car of choice in Texas and omeyhomey lives in Texas.
Second off, it was most likely a poser that "converted" his c5 in a Z06. I can put my hands on a 99 c5 with 24K miles for $16,300. My point is that there are TONS of vettes bought here cheap and heavily modified. Best bang for the buck with "head turner" looks to boot. In fact, a dude has a "fake" "Z06" here in Arlington. Hey omeyhomey, was it white?
anyway a stock c5 Z06 would, unfortunately, kill a W210 E55. Maybe omeyhomey's mods might make it not as bad as the expected slaughter....but no way it would beat a stock C5 Z06. Modded C5 Z06.....umm, no.
The world must be coming to an end. I just agreed with The Ricker.

umm....13.8? Damn dude, that's from your ***. In fact, it has to be...it smells like sh*t. (car and track actually said they got 13.9 from a oddball E55 that seemed to "have" problems) Motor Trend has the 2000 E55 at 4.8 0-60 and the 1/4 mile at 13.3 @ 107.1mph (vol. 52 #.3)

Having said that the 1/4 isn't unreasonable, but the 0-60 is hilarious, 4.80 gotta see that one...lol.. It's just a comparison of apples to oranges, I even said the same thing to Omey "Must've been a poser Z06"

I'am not a track hound "Yet" soon to be, but from everything I've read from very knowledgeable track hounds fanatics if you will lol.. Trap speeds have EVERYTHING to do w/freeway rolls. 116-118 is going to slaughter anyone trapping single digits 102-109 hell even 110-113 would get a beating.

As I've reported my C6 is far slower than C5 Z06 best recorded 1/4 for bone stock C6 w/my set-up ie A4 auto 3.15 gears was 12.50 @110-112
limiting factors seperating us are as follows
(1) Torque management, implemented to keep us slower than 2004 Z06 guys
(2) lighter weight by 100+ lbs
(3) smaller back wheels 18's as compared to C6's 19's retards slows rear diff
(4) smaller ****yer rear run flat tires (like skateboard wheels) 285's on C6 295's on C5 Z06 w/out run craps
(5)all in all we nearly weigh the same, have identical power, so you can see these limiting factors among a few others I can't think of right now, GM trying to keep the older C5 Z06 guys from slitting therre throats being = to every new base model C6.
W/tuning, cat-back some simple bolt-ons ie..headers, x-pipe intake, etc. the C6 is right there plenty of guys getting down the 1/4 in 12 flat @116 -118
Even a few scary bastar*ds in C6 A4 like mine w/drag rads, above mods plus stall coverter, have ran 11.60's!!! @ 116-119, I have the slip info if anyone wants it? pretty damn impressive for N/A 6 liter
Just a few cents on my take...

Mario, "E55cent" has a 210 E55 w/every possible mod, plus Supercharger making 400+ rwhp 430+ rwto, When I was bone stocck down to paper air filters, I walked him 2 lengths from 0-100 pretty much the same on freeway but who ever got the jump would stay ahead, very close cars before my mods.
A Stock C5 Z06 would've killed both of us, and you Carl, even w/coming Kleemann SC sorry

Plus I'm not all that hot on putting an HPS anything on my car.
Did'nt AMG_55 teach you a lesson with a stck E55? Why would my car with a Kleemann be any different?

Mario has no cams or headers so he does not have every possible mod. You wanna talk about a N/A 55 that does, try Ahmad(Blackbenzz) Kleemann S/C CLK55 he bought from Learso. That is a 55 with every possible mod. Mario is a friend of mine but until I see track #'s I won't bg hiscar up. He has a georgeouscar though.

Mario is also running Meth, yes no headers or cam, but prolly about the same difference 40rwhp w/meth.
No he didn't teach me a lesson, just new respect for 211 55, none for older 210 55 w/SC, not talking about CLK55 w/kleemann...I also hung on in (2) of the races with horrible traction by (2) car lengths 60-140 and by 3/4 of a length from 30-140+ verrry close after a full tune, and new rear meats, I'll rematch and see if I can't change the results
Only mods I have currently are Cat-back, CAI, torque management removal...

Blackbenz..Weighs less than you, and has lots of aditional mods, kooling etc, running drag rads I believe? You wont be in his league either, w/C43 frame CLK55 has to be way more aerodynamic than that brick lol..
Not trying to put you down bro! you have a very unique kool car, and w/Kleemann older twin screw will be stout, if you can get one? The Co. that used to supply them has gone under there now using the older Maggie MP112, much less torque.
Just introducing some reality to your modding expectations

You are talking about trap speeds I was refering to ET's. Reread my post Mr. Gump ..You quoted 13 this vs 13 that...I Simply stated that 1/4 mile ET is not a factor in a highway race...However you correctly said that "trap speeds" has EVERYTHING to do with a highway roll. Very good Forest

A 2000 W210 E55 did 13.3 1/4 mile @107 with 0-60 at 4.8
Call them up and tell them they lied.
Road and Track quoted on a 2001 W210 E55 at 13.2 1/4 mile @108 with 0-60 at 4.9
I will find the magazine so you can tell them they lied also.
@305 rwhp / 328 lbs torque to the wheels at 3700 lb curb weight and add the worlds best traction control. Yup, no way..........
