A4 1.8T Vs SRT 4
Man, Ive been waiting for this for too long.
Cruising with my friend out on Sunrise highway in Long Island where I ran into a stage 1 SRT-4. Ive been wanting to race one of these cars for such a long time. I got his attention with a spool in 5th and then release (he heard the pshh from the DV.) He went for it, we fly at around 90 or so until we come to a light. I rev up to 4800rpm, the magical launch Rpm for my car, wait for the green, and immediately on the launch I put 3 cars on him, I run through the gears, hes very slowly reeling me in, and catches me at 100 where we let off due to a sweeping turn. Roll down the window, ask him to pull over. Very cool guy, he had a intake done on the car, as well as some software and a few other minor things. Stock exhaust. He had summer tires on, (though it was 70F outside
) he said that he was spinning in 2nd as well. I had him pretty badly to 60mph, just after 60 he really started reeling me in. I got some extra cash that my friend owed me. FMIC sometime this week FTW!

The Srt-4 has a 2.4 liter straight four with a turbo thats slightly larger than mine. If I had to guess I'm around 250hp-260hp. I had a run in with a Volvo S60R that night as well, from a 40mph roll to 85 he had me by a car and a half. (I thought it was a 2.5t and it would be a easy kill.. lol..)

Nice run! I ran a stage 2 srt-4 which runs low 13s@107 with my 350z. We both had good launches he got me by 1 1/2 cars 0-110. My c36 is just as fast as my 350z. I really want to run you.

It's still up in Martha's Vineyard Mass. Because I have all these other cars on my insurance they won't allow for a fourth car. Gotta sell gotta sell. After I get rid of one of the Bimmers I will then be able to register and insure the Talon. Stay tuned!
