I'd say the worst freeway is the 101 period coming from LA, people don't know how to drive on that damn freeway, too many accidents, people go like 80+ on the 101 and you barely can merge, makes it hard when I do my deliveries in the Honda Accord, lol

You are smart tho Ricker, hit up a bar for a bit till traffic cools off, probably the best thing to do in L.A. traffic especially with all these constructions going on everywhere.

From this I dont think youve actually driven it.

Its COMPLETELY different from the SL/CL not just alittle faster and lighter

dont need AUTOCAR to make my mind up for me, I am in the position of driving these cars for a living.

People who buy the SLR can afford a 599 and CL IN Addition, ask J Leno

You are typical of magazine racer

dont worry, i aint goin nowhere

you should be able to explain that since you drive "these" cars for a living

just cause you can afford all of em, doesnt meant its worth it

SLRs go for about 350-400K. Vadim your not gonna buy a 599 Right now or for the next few years for less than half of what an SLR cost. Arent they going for 350K right now? The SLR is the better buy imo, the 599 is so god damn ugly and is not as fast as ferrari has made claims to be and this has been proven by the various videos. It lost to both the CGT and SLR and on paper the 599 Should be just barely slower than an Enzo so what gives?? The SLR also has a road presence that the 599 Simply cannot match, nor almost any car on the road besides a Phantom, Zonda, Bugatti, or CGT. The stares you get in that car are just wow, from Ferrari, Lamborghini, bentley and porsche owners.

Someone said a 599 GTB would be beat by a Stock or (drag radial) Z06?

You should get the opportunity to drive a new 599. I've driven a Zo6 and the 599 is just amazing compared to it. You will not see any 1/4mile times out of a 599 though. Not many "Rangers" in the Ferrari owners circle only wanna be Michael Schumacher's

The Zo6 is A bad *** machine, but the 599 is in a totally different league..

Do yourself a favor and ride or even better drive a 599 you will be amazed.. It has enzo speed with comfortable everyday drivability.

The C6 Z06 is a fast car. A good friend of mine owns one. it beat my Gallardo. It doesnt kill my Gallardo, but it does beat it. The Z06 has also spent more time in the shop, then on the road. One minor problem was the engine replacement.

Now as for the SLR vs Z06. DA levels play a HUGE part of the equation. Then drivers play a huge part. Ranger is known to sit in his car, and practise shifting. How many times do you think an SLR owner will take it to the track?

We have seen many a vid, of the SLR beating the 599, the Porsche CGT etc. If you think that a stock Z06 is running those cars down, you are in dream land.

Also, for the most part, where DA levels are far above SEA Level, for example here in AZ where 3500 is common, I havent seen or heard of a C6 Z06 run over 122Mph.

Not sure how many of you have driven an SLR, but it has massive traction problems. If people are getting 11.40's out of them on street tires, on drag radials, it should easily be an 11.00 car, and not under sea level, on the coldest day of the year, like Ranger runs.

The guys car is broke if thats even true..

360's trap higher than that. The take off in these cars is tough.. Either wear out an $6000 clutch or take off slow. Most choose the cheaper route.

BTW.. what kind of intake mod did he have?? Sounds like more BS since all of the Aftermarket intakes are replicated CS Carbon fiber air boxes. And I don't know of a single CS owner(200k car) that put a stupid ECU tune on his car which voids the warranty immediately to add 10 hp. And also the CS exhaust muffler Is a racing type from the factory, Tubi, Capristro and others have been proven not to ad much HP. Actually , a lot of 360 owners buy CS exhaust for the sound, Light weight and HP gain.

360's are no Pig when raced from a roll. But I personally will not take off fast from a stop due to the $6000 clutch looming around in my head. After 10mph or so it on!!

I guess this Dragtimes record is fake too? Along w/Z06 vs SLR video
http://www.dragtimes.com/Ferrari-360-Timeslip-920.html 12.20 in the 1/4 aint to shabby?

Ive run my car 3 times. When I raced him I ran 12.45. If i was driving around in a 40K Chevy, loved Budweiser and Nascar, Id probably spend more time drag racing too.

And that was a spider which is slower due to to weight.

Coupes weigh less I'm thinking 3-400lbs.. CS cars weigh much less. NO CARPET, No GLASS, Carbon fiber panels.. No way would it run only a 13.5 unless it was broke or at 10000 ft altitude or the guy let off.

allanlamo is a ***

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

some of you know me and i'm not one to talk ****. i say it like i see it. but allanlambo has kicked me off lambopower and is talking up a storm. some of you know the story so for the ones that don't, i was sick of his egocentric atittude and asked him to race which he declined, as he said i had an unfair advantage of converting my gallardo into 2wd and having shaved off 300lbs+ and a few other mods. obviously that time has come and gone as it is now at heffner doing a twinturbo kit. just wanted to let allan know he's a kook. i figure this was somewhere i could relay the message. we all know how you got your lambo from you exwife who happens to be 63 years old(thought the age gap was a bit much but to each his own. and your present wife is once again the bread winner. i would swing by your Dairy Queen and buy a dozen Blizzards to help pay for your SLR as time may be tough in the fast food world. i know this is a lame post but i thought i put a little dent in his ego. not to worry as there will be plenty left for the internet.

cheers to colored soda

Do you really care what the guy thinks? Why even give him the satisfaction of answering him.... the entire board of his feeds off the drama that the 10 year olds drum up... they get all riled up when someone says something they don't like - the man lives in his own little kingdom... let him have his glory..

Good advice from YellowMurci. After I got banned for starting my own board, I just ignore LP and enjoy the simple pleasure of watching two of the mods log in to read our posts almost daily; it's flattering that they like my site that much.

Me and him has had a few disagrements before but non in which resulted in banning. And of course there where plenty of times where I should have got the banned stick but I didn't. Keep in mind there are a few other mods on the site. You sure you got the right guy?.

You might have said something that pissed off another mod.

How's the car after the 2WD conversion? I've never heard of this before. Is it an "extensive" modification?

Looks like the only ego dented here is yours..

Funny how people run to Ferrarichat for some moral support every time after Allan moped the floor with their tiny fragile ego.

Pathetic...

FYI, (you didn't hear it from me ) Allan has several sugar mamas in various ages who support him and buy him cars and houses. In fact, recently one of them offered to give him a Ferrari 360 which she landed in a divorce from her husband (fchat member), he took it and resold it the next day and used the proceeds to buy a party house in Acapulco Mexico.

Why the hell do you have to make this stuff so personal?! Who gives a **** about how he gets his cars and his relationships, that is none of your business, neither mine. He does not want to race you, so be it, he is not obliged to.

Pathetic...

Its not even worth it to waste your energy on this. They wanna be like this than let em be that way. You know its a suprize that the infamous lambo trash talker hasn't shown up yet. He's normally around when someone mentions anything bad about L/P or Lamborghini in general.

I think he goes by the name of JP Something.

MONARCHY called a surprise Press Conference.

During the opening monologue, he brought the interesting side-topic up.

As a Sergeant-at-Arms, I seconded amenasce's motion.

After all, I've always wondered what happened to the old woman who lived in a shoe.

Did Ellen ever make any Personal comments regarding F-Chatters? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

I perma-banned Allan R Felcher.

Why? Because he's worthless as a refried human bean.

No SURPRISE in that press conference! Calling Allan brash and opinionated is like saying water is wet or the sky is blue.

Has anyone here tried 63 year old cooch?
