i understand that you have a fast stage1, and you will probably beat me. but that doesn't mean, that all stage1 s4 are faster than a clk55.

if you guys can just post dyno sheets of those car, then everyone will have a better idea of how strong stage1 & 2 are. the dynos that i've seen are very peaky, and have less max hp than a clk55.
A Stage 2+ running Giac, with full exhaust, and minor goodies will put down 290-300awhp. I'd post a video but can't find the dyno pull.

What you're not realizing is that the CLK is an AUTO 5 speed. The fact that the S4 has a 6 speed manual transmission already gives it a massive advantage.

My lowly 1.8t on a stock k03 and cheap *** chinese eBay tires consistently runs 14.4-14.6 where I don't even make 170awhp. Gearing makes a massive difference. What needs to happen is less talk more racing, which leads to ""

Oh yeah, and the car that was in the video that I raced was an automatic. Much slower than manual.

If you really want to see what a Stage III S4 is capable of, check this:http://www.titsup-racing.com/video/s..._vs_C6_Z06.wmv

I'm sure EvilEmpirE has some vids as well (I think some of them are on the same website as the hosted video above). Stage III's are modded E55 territory. Stage II's are also no joke. Be careful when you run a B5...you never know what you'll run into. Especially look out for this car

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MX6qpi3GluE gave us like a 15 length head start and caught up to us instantly. Of course, this is the extreme...but I'm just saying, these cars can range from as slower than an E500 to quicker than an SL65.

ok, that what i expected. stage2+ is equivalent to clk55 in power.

if you check all my posts, i never said that i can beat a stage2+. what i said was that a stage1 & 2 have less power than a clk55 and weigh more, so the clk55 has the advantage from roll.

ok, i'll race your 1.8t

all i know is that i was able to stay w/ a 6.0L GTO, pull away from an e39 m5, and beat a tuned STI (close to 400hp). all these cars have more hp than stage2 s4. add to that, i already beat a stage1 GIAC s4.

btw, i have a lot of respect for the b5 s4. can wait till the new s4 come out w/ the TT. but if stage2 s4 put down less than 290hp, i think i will beat them.
You pulled away from an E39 M5?

who said i don't?

you already told us that your boosting like 25 - that should put at 320+awhp. so we kind of already know who would win.

320!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I wish. Most Stage2+s struggle to get that. Think of it this way. All i have is intake and a chip and diverter valves. its a stage one.

Ok, let me expain. Crank HP on rwd cars takes a 20% drive train loss.
Crank hp on awd cars takes a 25% drive train loss.

so my Stock 250hp = 188 AWHP. So for an ecu to add 132 AWHP it would be insane and impossible. If I was to take an honest guess I would say I have in the ballpark of 270-280awhp.

yeah bro, i was surprised too. maybe he was on the wrong gear

there was a lot of traffic, so we didn't get a chance to line up again.

btw, i don't think the clk55 is faster than an m5. they are probably the same.

the point i'm trying to make is that my car keeps surprising me - i'm able to beat or tie 400hp cars.

i really don't care what stage you think your car is, but if your boosting 25 then i'm pretty sure your close to 320awhp.

doesn't matter to me, i'll run you anyway. just don't go around saying stage1 s4 is faster than a clk55.

my car is stock, and my guess it dynos somewhere around 290-300whp. how about you tell me how much power your smurfy blue car put down.

Street tune I suppose? Or maybe a custom tune that was just written up and tested on another car and he had it put onto his car as well.

why such curiosity on how much his car puts down? Like Tommy said....his car is prob in the 280-300 awhp range. The peak power that it puts down is nowhere as significant as the whole "power/and torque" curve, especially in B5 S4's. Even if it made less peak power than yours (say 275/280 whp)......it could very well take your car from a roll.

I say line them up and find out

well-running Stage 3 S4's can be known to take down a C6 Z06 or two as well........

here is a vid of one run....although it was only 60-105 mph or so....you can see that I am pulling on the Z06 already......and I continued to inch away after 120 mph. Ran the C6 Z06 8 times that night.......got him 7 of the 8

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXxT5XFRtRM

as far as "street racing" in traffic and such......i don't wanna hear it

i think you should look at the N/A 5.4L's torque curve - i bet its flatter than any 280-300 awhp s4

if his car is making 280-300, than its more like a stage2+. i still think i have a shot from roll.
