c230k makes Celica run a red. Tires smoked, cops came.
I wouldn't really call this a race.
I was timing the lights down a long stretch of road going 35-40mph. At this speed, there's no need to brake or gas b/c the lights will automatically change in time for you to get through each intersection (10 intersections).
Celica puts metal to the pedal at each green and halts at each red light to see my wizzing by. I guess he got pissed and gassed it going 50+ flying right by me.
As I'm watching him approach the red traffic light, smoke spews from the back of his car. Still smoking the Celica runs through the intersection past a cop who was stopped at the light.
Sirens blazing. Driver of the Celica does a dumb move. Instead of remaining seated in the car, he comes out! Cop rolls up behind him and comes out too. By then I'm long gone, still timing the lights at 35mph.

wait, why was there smoke coming from the back of his car?
celica's are fwd, so any tire smoke should be coming from the front.
as for coming out of the car while being pulled over, you can get shot for doing something like that.
Always stay in the car, with the engine off and hands on the top of the wheel. People have been known to be shot for less at least in LA.
