I pull up to the light today and I see a silver slk230 with the renntech badge.
It looked sick and sounded even meaner. I told the guy I was a big Benz guy and I loved the car. He said thanks. I mentioned that I saw the renntech badge. He was like its completely Renntech.
So the light turns green and off we go. I was ahead of him the whole time. But the supercharger sounded sick. I thought it would be moving alot faster being that it was lighter.

Anyways he gave me a honk and was on his way. He seemed cocky at first. but was a good sport. I wasnt planning to win this one but it was a fun little run to 60.

So what are the numbers for the SLK230

Not too familiar with the SLK 230, so I googled it. From that article, it seems it has a whopping 192HP...and no supercharger was mentioned. The Renntech badge was probably the only upgrade as I doubt there is much that can be done to that car as even an ECU upgrade is worth at most 10HP.

So, your 345HP Hemi SHOULD have won based on these findings.

Now, you should probably go after other V8 Mercedes (430,500,550 Series) for more of a challenge...but I would stay away from any AMG.

And also I know what the 430s 500s and 55s are capable of. Ive had one of each.

I actually went with my friends 07 E350 and we were neck and neck all the way too 100+

I raced stock SLK230Kompressor with my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8 and was smoked.

I read an article on one awhile back...after some tweaking by RennTech the SLK230 Kompressor put out a good 240bhp. Couple that with a relatively low weight, and we have ourselves some decent performance.

I had the unfortunate experience of inheriting a 99 SLK230 (wife's car). The engine is a supercharged 4 banger (!) that sounded like a tractor with a missing spark plug. The transmission was semi retarded and would take literally seconds to make a decision (got beat by a Honda Civic?! on the highway from 60 MPH because it wouldn't kick down into a lower gear). I hated this car with a passion. I felt dirty every time I drove it. MB should have never produced a 4 cylinder car.
