First off let me tell you that I am not saying this out of the blue.
I raced a stock W209 CLK55 when I was Stage1 and I pulled him by 2-3 cars, he is on these forums by the way, but dunno his name.
I never raced a W211 E55, but that's because it would eat me like candy. There is no way you could of pulled both cars by the same length at the same time, unless 1.) E55 was badged or 2.) He didn't learn how to drive his car

Good kill! But remember it was a driver kill nawt car kill lawlz

What are your 1/4 stats? I would guess high to mid 12's with a lower than avg. trap speed in relationship to the time.

He says that his car is putting down 276 whp and weighs 1996 pounds. This gives him 7.23 pounds per rwhp. That's the same as a C6 Z06. So this car should be able to trap in the 125+ range with that weight:power ratio (the Hale equation puts it at 127, but I'm hedging). A stock E55 would get hammered by a car that light with that much power...up at very high speeds the E55's horsepower advantage would give it an advantage as drag force becomes the dominating factor, but down low this thing would definitely kill if producing those numbers.
***HOWEVER***, the story is extremely fishy, because as kindafast points out, if the three of these cars were to line up *and* the VW is making advertised horsepower at average weight, you'd have a different result, namely VW in front, E55 in second, quite a ways back, and CLK55 a very distant third.
There's no way a CLK55 could run that close to an '06 E55, unless it was supercharged, or if the E55 had something wrong with it, or was running with parking brake on, or using 84 octane gas, or had something else wrong with it...
So from a numbers perspective, your killing an E55 is quite plausible...however, the outcome you describe is not at all plausible: with that power-to-weight advantage you should be much further than two cars out on an E55, and a CLK55 would be a distant speck.
