CLK 55 vs 335 vs IS-F vs Cobra vs R8

CLK 55 vs 335 vs IS-F vs Cobra vs R8

So i had a wild night... After leaving the office stressed out i was cruising..and a ford mustang cobra rolls up..

so the cobra speeds behind me sticking to my ***..so i gun it...light turns red. He's just revving his loud *** engine, so i start doing it back...boom light turns green both our tires spin i get a jump cuz i guess my tires/ traction was less 1 sec later he flies...literally..

in the mist of all of this a 335 rolls up and is trying to mess also..the cobra ends up making a right on a street so it's just me and the 335..
were at a light...it turns green we mash on the peddle at the same time..i skid he gets a slight jump on me..then i picked up and flew gaining almost a car's length...

after all this i get a call from my friend with an R8 he tells me his friend has a souped up IS-F...ECU, intake, exauhst..the works..

so we go to a long 3lane strip we know about (never any cops)

the IS-F and I are the ones to go first... we hit it from start and i skidded and he flew..

so we went again since i dont know really how 2 launch the car properly..

from 20-85 i was ahead and towards the end he was pickin up..then we had to stop..

3rd run i had was the IS-F, my car, and the R8...

when we ran it (ran it from 20mph) the R8 and i were dead even the IS-F was 1/5th car ahead...


...just thought i should share..

impressive. now, for some clarification.

was this a terminator cobra (supercharged) or not? when you he "flies, literally" does that mean he walked you?

you were dead even with an IS-F with intake, exhaust, and chip? wow....that should probably trap at least 116 if not more being that they trap 114 stock. some stock ones have trapped 116 on dragtimes. what are your mods?

so you were dead even with the IS-F but only up to 1 car length on the 335i? weird.....IS-F stock should smoke a stock 335i.....maybe the 335i was modded? or something was wrong with the IS-F....there is definitely a discernible difference in those two.

R8s trap 111+ as well. you must have a very strong car.

when the is-f and i hit it we were head to head then after a while (dont know how fast we were going exactly) he started pulling away from me..

i didnt know my car was that fast...and the R8 and i didnt really run it..meaning we didnt meet up to run our cars..so i ddint pay attention much

If that was the Cobra he is talking about.

Is your car modded? I don't think the IS-F is that fast but I really would believe the IS-F would alot harder on a CLK55. I know the CLK is pretty quick, I raced 1 after giving it a head start on the highway and ended up catching it and passing but not as easily as I thought. Anyway good runs !

Please educate my ignorance, lol. Does his CLK55 have the same n/a V8 as the C55? or does it have the V8 Kompressor engine of the E55? Since the Cobra walked on him, I am assuming that it was the n/a V8 but not knowing which Cobra is making this hard to piece together. There are 315 hp DOHC n/a Cobras, the the 390hp DOHC SC'ed Cobras and then the 500hp late model beasts. A pully and ECU on either of the SC'ed models changes everything.

Keeping up with the Lexus and the R8 further confuses me as they are what 0-60 in the mid to high 4 sec? I'm just trying to figure out what happened, lol

terminator cobra. supercharged V8. They are no joke stock. I barely beat a stock one. With a pulley, they can trap like 116+

True, but this was from 20-80mph, not even an 1/8th mile.

Sounds like the Cobra had a pulley swap and the 335i a mild tune.

All very plausible.

my friend has a stock IS-F and I have a 335I sport with a 6-speed manual and I kept up even till 100 then he started to pull a little cause the IS-F's torque is all at the top end

I walked away from a 335i with no problem. The ISF mustve been spinning. They trap a good 113+. Is your 335i modded?

I had my Gtech with me, clocked 4.8 to 60 and 12.8 quarter mile

my 335 is stock, but I've been well versed in car control and manual transmissions.

the IS-F was trying.
