Rolling starts > dead stop drag races in terms of proving which car is really faster.
Dead stop drag = driver skill especially. No doubt the modded CL65 AMG is extremely fast but from a rolling start, I'd bet the M6 would take over the CL only at extremely high speeds. Maybe over 300 km/h.

I've seen all of these before but it never hurts to see them again. I'm no Z06 expert but I'm surprised that the chipped and exhaust C6 Z06 only gained 25hp from stock form.

To me these blow the garbage videos of Gustav away! These vids are more real to me.
RI believe they have something like this that goes on in south Florida annually and I know they definitely have it in Texas called the Texas mile. Get that baby tuned or put a standalone in her and your beast will feel at home in either of those two events.

Cue the "Wait till the twisties...." comments.
I can't wait to put a beat down on my first M6. I've tried....they never play.

From my limited experience, I think that the M high revving N/a engines are overrated when it come to there top end. Don't blindly give in to the hype that M cars will murder AMGs over 100 mph.

Ya, the 65s have always been insane, even stock, while the new 5.5TT with performance pkg also sounds like a total beast from the factory. Nice jump from the 6.2, which only reached its full potential with the modified internals released in the later years.
Regarding Gustav I've always enjoyed his videos.

It's not the top end of the motors that gives them an edge over 100, it's the gearing. The Benz gearing is much taller over 100 (in particular on the five speeds), so the M5's have an advantage there. I did a comparison one time of the gearing/rear end /torque multiplication of the two, and the Benz does lose quite a bit once it hits fourth gear, while the M5's seven speed has much closer ratios.
