2012 GTR vs tuned C63
Yeah it was expected I got walked by the new 530hp GTR. We went from a 40-125. Got me by a car. They haul *** traps are 123+.

With a 123+ trap for him and a 119 for you, he should pull you by more than one car from 40-125 unless he screwed up, or you got a good jump, or his car isn't fully broken in...by way of example, when R&T ran the new GTR vs the 911 Turbo S, the Turbo, which traps 5 mph faster than the GTR, was already one car ahead by 50 mph, and about 4 cars out by the end of the 1/4 mile.
I'd expect more like 3 or 4 cars at this distance.

Ignore Improviz above. He argues everyone's street race stories. I'm sure your recollection was accurate for your race and why wouldn't it be as you are admitting you were slower this day. Sounds like an awesome race of two incredible cars! Thanks for sharing!! Cheers!

He's just stating some facts and specifications on what the outcome SHOULD'VE been. But of course, I'm sure he acknowledged that anything can happen on the street or whatever. He's taken that into account.
Troll boy, it sounds like you're just trying to support yourself's reason and logic when you claimed that you can take down any BMW M3 in your CLK550. Trying to support yourself. I got it.

Oh, and also, could you please post me a link to any forum wherein you can post an outlandish kill story and not have it challenged by anyone? I've yet to see such a magical forum, perhaps it exists in The Mystical, Magical Land Where CLK550s Pull M3s...
Btw how bout some pics of your CLK from sunny LA?

Not really, unless someone posts something utterly ridiculous like pulling an new M3 in a CLK550.

I second the pictures. Improviz is highly knowledgeable and his posts are based on facts. I've read a lot of his responses over the years and tend to agree on most of them. He doesn't make **** up or bash ANY kill stories that have truth or that are near to the facts of simple road test data and real world experiences that have been documented. NY01 your new, started off on the wrong foot with your kill story...at least lets see some pictures of the car try to get some points back from the mbworld community.

Thanks, guys! Hey, Jared, I too used to have an '00 Audi S4, that was a fun little ride! Loved that Quattro back in the days when we used to actually get rain around here!

Great car I loved mine. Just the maintenance is crazy and I was having bad luck with failing o2 sensors and worrying about my k03's popping since my car was chipped and had a lot of other goodies. Its a great car but a headache. I miss the AWD especially having two RWD cars now and winter coming up I think its time for me to add something else to the lineup. B5 S4's are a steal now if you look on autotrader or whatnot but I don't think I could deal with it again haha.

Impro please check but dont some mags have the GTR trapping closer to 121mph? And dont most mags correct their tests for DA? Im asking cause the 123++ number that the OP posted seems pretty strong and this could be the 1 car difference??

I thought the 2012 models were running faster, let me check:
OK, here's what I got:
C&D:
Zero to 60 mph: 2.9 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 7.1 sec
Zero to 120 mph: 10.0 sec
Street start, 5–60 mph: 3.7 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 11.2 sec @ 126 mph
R&T:
0-60 mph 2.9 sec
0-100 mph 7.1 sec
0-1320 ft (¼ mile) 11.1 sec @ 124.3 mph
MT:
0-30 1.1 sec
0-40 1.6
0-50 2.2
0-60 2.9
0-70 3.8
0-80 4.8
0-90 6.0
0-100 7.4 PASSING, 45-65 MPH 1.5
QUARTER MILE 11.2 sec @ 122.7 mph
So it depends....a slower one trapping at 122.7 would be much closer, obviously, seems like as before they're somewhat inconsistent. I forget which mags altitude correct (know that C&D does, forget about the rest, would have to check later)...anyway, definitely not outside the realm of possibility, particularly given all of the intangibles that could affect a run like this. Now, if it was one that trapped at 126, otoh....
