Cadillac STS is VERY slow
Certainly compared to an '03 S55. I was following the Cadillac on a two lane road, speed limit 45, with him going about 40. The road opened up to four lanes and he stayed in the left lane so I passed him (slowly) on the right and sped up to about 50. I think he read the badge as I passed him and decided to try me on - sure enough, in the rear view mirror here he comes, so I wait, let him get even then drop it to second gear and go - pulled at least four car lengths on him up to about 100, then stood on the brakes to bring it back down to reasonable speed. He catches up, tries me again, exact same story, but this time when I stand on the brakes he keeps going. We both then get stopped at a traffic light side by side, I take off from the light, he doesn't - guess he had enough. Very easy kill, but a kill none the less.

Had a similar run-in with my W210 E55
Coming back from this year's PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester NY. I was in my car with a friend cruising 90 Thruway southbound. A new Cadillac Deville speed up to my rear and started to making hand gesture to get me out of his way. Then he jump to the right lane and start to push hard to pass me. I let him get next to me and then I let him have it. 391 lb of torque kick in and surged ahead. In seconds I was driving about 120 mph and at least 10 cars ahead of him. We slowed down and let him catch us and did the same thing to him again. This caddy driver was persistent and tried a few more time then he gave up and stay behind us at a save distance. Just as we are getting off the thruway, we waved at him and his passenger as they stared at us I bet he was wondering how he got spanked by a plain looking E-class

Sorry, I didn't state that correctly. I'm thinking he didn't know the difference between 55, 500, 320, for example. That's how I was before we got our entry-level Benz. I had no idea about AMG versus the normal ones.

The XLR is 5.8 0-60.. all the rest of the 55's are well into the 4's.. Treynors BIG BODY 600 gets a 3.1 0-60.

So... a stock SL55 does a 4.7 0-60, that alone rapes the XLR.

Trolling is an art and sorry bob but ya aren't very good at it. You have to at least be believable to make people mad. If I thought you were serious I'd take the time to argue but its obvious you're just trying to make people mad. Work on it though. You're striking at a nerve but your skills are lacking, you need more refinement.

Out Of Control!!
So that makes it a fair fight? Come on - it's like shooting fish in a barrel.
I don't get this forum, honestly. Seems like most of the "fights" posted here could have been won by 14-year-olds with learner's permits, from the level of competition compared to the respective MB.
