My brother recently picked up a 2016 Shelby GT350 mustang. The car is crazy! It sounds like its full bolt on from the factory, and has a 100,000km power train warranty. Ford rates this engine at 526hp and 430tq with an 8200rpm redline.

My C63 is a MY2010 P30 Package, with Eurocharged V5 tune, ROW airbox and AFE drop in filters. Should be around 520hp give or take.


I honestly thought my C63 would win no problem... Boy was I in for a surprise. The GT350 pulled on me easily 1-2 cars every time. Last race we had the C63 get a little 1/2 car jump. Mustang caught right back up by the top of 3rd gear and pulled from that point.

If anyone runs into one of these mustangs be careful! Ford did not mess around with this engine.

I am booking a Dyno session with both cars on the same day.... I will post numbers later on.

Those new Mustangs do run quite well right out of the dealership. Mods for them are already plentiful and dirt cheap compared to our cars. I'm not as thrilled with their looks and they certainly don't match the Mercedes comfort, but they are not too bad.

Legit! I would have thought the tuned C63 would have done better but the GT350 is awesome. I just published my review.

Got to track the GT350R and I fell in love. Fantastic car.

Got the dyno done today. Weird..... don't think we could get the c63 to be accurate. C63 only did 358whp 358wtq.

Mustang pulled 415whp 330wtq.

Ya not sure maybe my tune is not active??? I dunno what's going on lol.

Thanks for sharing. Something is wrong with the dyno # as I dynoed 450 with my catless dp and Eurocharged tune on my 09 C63.
The mustang is probably 400 pounds lighter and I think that's what is making the difference

What brand of dyno did you use? Regardless, the Mustang dynoed more and looks to be making more power.

Its a low reading mustang dyno.

I did 2 pulls in 4th gear, 1 pull in 5th gear. The 5th gear pull I could not hit redline however because the dyno is limited to 250km/hr. But 5th gave me about 10-15hp more if I could get it to redline.

Was that you racing the GT350? Clearly the GT350 on the dyno is white and the one in the 1/2 mile video is grey.

Its my C63 yes. That is one powerful 5.2L engine. Ford was on point with this engine. Making the Germans look bad lol. 6.2L vs 5.2L both N/A. I might do a X-pipe later and see how much that helps.
