This has to be the dumbest thread ive ever read anywhere. Where do you guys get your stats on the cobra? These cars have run over 900 horses stock block. Also if you run a C280, and a Mustang Cobra 03/04 at 130 MPH the benz will break first, the Cobra is Forged Internals, extremely strong and powerful engine. 5000 in mods with a cobra nets you high 10s, not 11s. 5 grand gets you a Kenne Belle Supercharger 2.4, which is good for 600 hp alone. With bolt ons cobras can run low 11s. Now if you really want to get crazy, ive seen a turbochargd Terminator cobra that runs 8s.

Now about some things said about the Ford GT. The Ford GT will outhandle a SL65 around a track such as the Nurburgring, although it may loose around a shorter more straight line track, because of the sheer torque and power of the SL65 in a straight line. The Ford GT is based of the Lightning Engine block, and extremely strong and reliable block.

Now on to the whole ricer argument of, well yea you paid 80 grand and with that money i saved i could mod this and this. I hate that argument, its pointless, and it gets you no where.

Now I dont hate AMGs, ive never will, I love AMGs for what they are, and i love Cobras for what they are.

Sometimes the thrill of being fast, is not knowing you're going so fast.

You truely are very ignorant. Im defending the car because its a beast, if it werent i wouldnt be defending it. A Fast car is a fast car, also a Stock cobra will show you its tailights all day long. You are giving AMG drivers bad names by acting like a complete jerk off.

Just popped in to read the last post or two of this thread, and. . .

Yet another lengthy thread that ends up in a "kindergarten beotchfest"

Why do I keep breaking my own rule???? (never to read threads with more than 20 or so posts)!!!

(BTW, there is 'truly' something very comical about some moron stating that "You truely (sic) are very ignorant. . . ")

Yet another piece of literary genius from our esteemed proponent of fine Ford motorcars.

So now we are going to be english *****? This isnt even worth my time to have a debate about cars, if we are going to analyze each others spelling on the internet. If you want to have an intelligent argument about the stats of each vehicle, or the capabilities of the vehicles, PM me and ill be more than happy.

I know enough to know that if you put a supercharger on a turd it's still a turd, it just stinks faster.

This thread is proof that it does not always require brains to have money. I think the morons at the Neon SRT forums use better grammar than the people on this site. Unbelievable!

BTW I found this pic of Vomit in the gallery. Have a nice day.

Well, I go the address to this site from a post on another forum I frequent. That's right, I drive a Mustang. But that's not all, I also drive anything from 500 SL's to Land Rover Defender 110's. Car/trucks/jeeps/ are my life.
I got to the first page, and after reading it, looked no further. I immediately registered. I experienced with all ranges of the automotive world. So, in the proccess of bragging, I want to help you understand what I mean by "all ranges of the automotive world". I personally own a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a Mustang Cobra. My Father owns literally way too many cars to list. His favorite is his 1975 Lincoln Mark V Bill Blass edition. Following in close second is his 1991 500 SL with 11,000 original miles, him being the guy who drove it off the showroom floor in 1990. He enjoys a 1986 560 SEC grey market. His daily driver's a 2001 BMW X5 4.6 (yes, you read right, that's a six at the end). His tow vehicle is a 2005 Laramie Cummins Turbo diesel Ram. I like to work on his 1942 buick roadmaster special from time to time.

Well, now the bragging's done. I want to give some input. Through just the first page, I saw nothing new, "rustang" this "beer belly" that. But what I don't understand is why you make generalizations? Let me give you a few more characteristics of mine you can lump up:

-I'm Persian
-I LOVE my Mustang
-I'm Muslim
-I was born in, and still live in Utah
-I love WRX STi's but don't take much of a liking to Evos
-There's nothing more luxurious to me than a brand new S600, except maybe the last 750 that Chris Bengal hated so much
-I'm a Business Student at Westminster College in Salt Lake City
-I plan developing an Aquisitions Firm when I graduate
-I like to go fishing and waterskiing
-I love the sound of a cammed pissed-off 350 in a '68 Camaro SS.

So, based on how you guys generalize, I'd be a:

Terrorist, mormon, rustang owning, redneck, ricer, ****, yuppy, fishing, beer-slamming, type of guy?

Sorry, but the bottom line is that alot of you are disgracing the image of true enthusiasts who don't have to prove they're better than you, they just know it and move on with life. I don't know much about this site and I'm sure there are some really cool people on here, but from what I saw on the first page, I was dissapointed that you couldn't atleast come up with an even marginally original insult other than "RUSTANG"

I know that MB's are flat-out better cars, I know they're not setup for drag, I know Ford and MB are on two entirely different levels of engineering marvel, but I also know that I have a hell of a time with my car. Each car has something to offer. I'm not going to my company's christmas party in my blown/caged Cobra (yes, still bragging), I'll take the A8L. There's a time and place for everything, I don't see how insulting something and then tagging it with a tired label suddenly makes something worthless.

Discuss Amongst yourselves.

great reply! you guys are a straight-up disgrace to car enthusiasts around the world and give real DTM enthusiasts a bad name. It's sad that just because you have a Benz, you think you're better than everyone else. You're not God and your conceded attitudes are worthless in society. Especially when I'm betting 90% of the cars owned by the people opening their mouths are owned on credit. The people that keep their mouths shut do so because they don't have anything to prove, they know who they are, how successful they are, and they could give a **** less about what petty "status" wannabes think. To those of you here who are respectable, descent, classy MB owners, you people kick ***. Thanks for giving true MB enthusiasts, and DTM enthusiasts humble names.
