Sure. Shove 20K in it, and you'll be untouchable. At least on the streets- track= different story. So when the Stang is not in the shop- no ones safe. But since, all the 11, 10 second Stangs are in the shop being repaired for blown engines and transmission problems, Im king of the road! And even if the stang does beat my stupid E55- oh well, at the end of the day, I drive the Mercedes. At least I lose, getting a back massage.

And for the Ford GT, find me one for 150K, and by god, tomarrow noon- I will buy it. Fact the matter is- not only is it ugly, damn it, its a Ford. I don't want to buy a 100K plus vehicle (actually 250K plus) and leave it in the shop 3/4 of a month. But thats just me. And TuscanRaider, why are you treasuring trash?
I take care of my vehicles. And, 10 years from now, my SL600 will still be beautiful. What makes a certain car a collectable? Hmm? TuscanRaider? Because its garaged, and has low miles? Heck, my SL600 is garaged and has low miles, is it a collectible (if so SUHWEET!)? Lets add fuel to this thread!

To take it further add the price difference of about 40K in mods to the GT, and I don't know what would beat it? But certainly nothing from MB, nope not the SLR its got a 0-60 "under 3.8" plus its 400K.

For the price of a GT+40k you can find a nice F-355 and turbo it for from Hamman for 30k total=110k im sure you can outsprint most cars there or a 993 twin turbo with RUF application for around 90K car included.
By competitors I meant BMW, Audi, Lex, etc, The new M45? 335HP. Performance? lets see an E500 keep up.
Yeh Audi was banned from racing whent they developed their quattro all-wheel drive system and still hold the rally record at pikes peak. The M45 was actually designed by Ferry Porsche jr(911 designer) pretty fast car. BMW is the ultimate driving machine(outhandels most cars) and Porsche(outperforms every car) there is no substatute. I guess the best combinations if money is not a factor would be M5, G55 AMG, Cayenne Turbo, 911 turbo+, maybe museum queen F-50 or Carrera GT.
Today there are probably a few cars that "do not depreciate" in the modern era F-50, Carrera Gt, Enzo, F-40, 959, Duer 962, Mclaren SLR. Besides that everything eles bought will be unfortunately not a "Smart buy".

You my friend are a moron your car runs an 11.9 which multiple E55's have done and even a bit better. Here is the deal if you were six car lengths ahead in a little over a quarter mile your car either runs the quarter in below 11 seconds or the E55 wasnt racing. And since you claim your car runs an 11.9 i'm gonna go with option B. I like cobras and think they are one of the best bang for the buck cars out there. But myself nor the other members of the forum want to hear this trash get your story straight before you start bench racing.
