A little help from you guys (and girls).

So I have this 05 E55 that I drove out to Kleemann North American HQ for a stage 3. 619 hp at the crank. Runs like a scalded dog and almost as good as sex (almost).

I have yet to race anyone.

WHAT ARE SOME THINGS I CAN DO TO ENCOURAGE A RACE?

dont be shy about it.
you can:

1. make eye contact
2. instigate the race by giving it gas when your next to the guy then braking repeatedly until he notices you.
3. just peel out at the light, everytime you see a worthy opponent. if the guy has a fast car he will probably follow you once you show himyour intentions.

Agreed. It's silly to race on the road, especially when you instigate it! OLD MAN!

It's a lot more fun on the track, especially in a spot where ya can rip her open without fear of having some idiot cut in front of you.

i was pretty serious...

formal way, just ask the guy to race you. go for the cars that match up ur car......not slower nor faster......
if u run with slow cars, it wont be a fair race, and if you run with fast ones, then they'll just think ur a linky dink waste of time and ignore you

something you can do. join a BMW/AUDI/American Car/what ever type of car forum other than benz. Look for events in your area, i mean big events, go to them and sit there across from them, mingle with them, and i bet on the way out you will catch some races. If that doesnt work, crusie up and down some of your busier freeways in your area in the outside lane, and just wait for the ricers. They will come, they always come. Also this has worked for me a few times, just drive fast through traffic and people take notice.
Sadly the NFSU 2 commercial is true, alot of the ricers believe its like cat and mouse expect for they are about a 20 year old cat with exhaust compared to one of our cars. They will chase after you with their exhaust blaring and thats when you lay in wait. Make sure you are in your highest gear so they cant hear what lurks beneath, then let them get the jump and tear them a new one. Just watch out for supras, RX7s, Cobras, and other performance regular cars. They are sleepers too, last thing you want is a run in with a BPU+++ Supra on the Highway, or a Kenne Belle Cobra.

Thanks. It appears that I am never AROUND any cars that even could race, let alone qualify for a good race. I just don't see cars the likes of SVT, Ferrari, Porsche, Vette, etc, let alone stop at a light next to one and have the op to race.

Maybe I should go find out where the kids are cruising on the weekend evenings???

when u see a fast or modified car at a light, just rev it and look at him. or if u are driving on just a say a highway, drive right next to the guy and keep looking and if he wants to race he will.

Have fun i hope you catch some races. To bad you dont live out here in LA, there are people always ready to race. Infact i bet within a 10 mile radius of my house there is a race going on.

i say prepare a few water ballon in you car, when you see a car you want to race, toss it to them, and floor it as fast as you can.. you will HAVE to out run them! (make sure you got no liscense plate)

In all seriousness Gid....if you want an almost 100% race you do this.

You find a potential victim at a stop light and jump the gun and smoke him off the line....stay with me.....that will really **** him off and when you get to the next light....believe me it's on. Unfortunately, in America it's all about who passes the other guy no matter what the speed so I say line up, smoke him off the line and when you get going too fast for your taste, let up....the other guy will almost always come screaming by to save face, but you and him will both know the truth. Many times when they see you walk (and with stage 3..you will), they will let up.

Also (I guess it proves that it is kinda childish), most times Friday and Saturday night is when the teenagers and young 20's guys come out to mess around with their rides. That is when the chances are greatest to get some action. Gosh I just dated myself, gonna go do a comb over and make some more cash....it'll make me feel better.

Hey, some guys walk on their families in their mid life (Hungry Heart) ....some guys drink...some guys work to death.....some of us just get a monster Benz and ram it around...if that's a crime, then lock me up with Scott Peterson....er ehhh...somthing like that.

When you're at a light, open your window and throw an egg at the car next to you. Then take off, I bet the guy will race after you.

At the next light throw 2 eggs and have another run just to be sure you beat him the first time.
