i wanted to get clear projectors on ebay but they all stated it's for 98-01 models... i'm assuming 98-01 lights aren't same as 02-05 lights....

I installed a set of projectors in my 2000 and its the same problem. Its an easy fix if you are handy with an electrical probe. The wires come out of the connector fairly easily. All I did was probe for the appropriate high and low beam wires coming off the car, and rearranged the wiring in the connector to match the correct bulbs. Don't waste money on any adapters.

I know you can buy a pig tail adaptor for it but if someone can just walk you through the process of re-wiring then that would be cheaper.

Its been over 2 years since I did this so I cannot tell you step by step. But the process goes like this:
1) disconnect the connector from the lamp
2) with an electrical probe connected to ground probe each terminal from connector coming off the car to identify the bulb positions - start with all off to confirm no terminals are hot, then park lights, low beams, high beams, fog (if you have them connected)
3) look inside your headlamps and trace the low beam and high beams to the connector on the lamp housing
4) match the positions you identified on the car side connector with the lamp side connector
5) I don't recall if I rearranged the wires on the car connector side or the lamp connector side - do whichever one is easier to access. You will have to study how to remove the wires from the connector, as its been a while and I cannot tell you off the top of my head. But its not that tricky. Once you pop out the wire from the connector, its just a simple snap in to connect it to the new position.

Good luck.

I actually am using a H7 retrofit kit in my projectors. It is pretty much a plug and play. If you are not using a retrofit kit, and using OEM parts, you will need bulb holder adapters (D2s to H7 available on Ebay) and of course some adapters (if available) or fabricate jumpers to wire betwen the wiring harness and the hid ballasts.

Currently I have the Philps d2r bulbs with the OEM Ballast. What exactly would I need other than the Projector Headlight housing. and also where can i get this kit that you have?

The D2r is really for reflector housings. There is a painted shield on the glass to reduce glare. It can work in a projector, but not the best. The kit I am using is pretty old, can't remember where I got it. But there are plenty available on ebay. If you have the OEM Philips ballasts, they are some of the best in the business. Look for Philips or Osram D2s bulbs converted to a H7 base on ebay. Stay away from the Asian copycat bulbs. There may be some kits out there for hookiing up the ballasts to the ML harness - but it isn't that tough to put together your own jumpers. Just be sure to use good guage wires, #14, and make good waterproof connections.

Not really clear what parts you have, but I am guessing you have some factory lights with the ballasts inside. I really don't know how to take them out without seeing them. If there is not a way to unbolt the ballasts without taking apart the lamp, then you will have to bake the assembly in the oven to soften the glue and pry the housing apart.

As for the jumpers, you will have to splice into the factory low beam lights. I am assuming these are not Bi xenons. If they are, you will have to splice into the high beams too.

You will not need the 12v wire to the halogen bulbs, so cut that wire anywhere convenient that you can reach to add a jumper to the ballast. Since you are using the factory ballast, you will have to mount it very close to the lamp as the high voltage connector to the xenon bulb is probably not very long.

First pick a suitable mounting spot, under the lamp with good strong 2 way tape if there is room. Then you will have to get that high voltage wire inside the lamp where the bulb is. You may have to drill a hole in the access cover and put sealant around the wire to keep it water tight. Then just connect a 14 gauge wire from the cut factory wire to the +12V input wire on the ballast. Be careful not to connect to the negative ground side, you could damage the ballast. You will have to add a wire from chassis ground to that terminal. Pick a good ground on the body and also use a 14 gauge wire.
