[URL=http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43960&item=7950366 769&rd=1]

i finally found the rims that i was looking for...cuz i wanted black rims for my black ml430...but the only thing about them is that the lip of the rim is polished..i think i might have my boy that owns a motorcycle repair shop, (where i bring my 2004 yamaha R-1 to get accesories and racing stuff) will be able to send them out to get dipped in chrome, then they will be hott...

why would you put a brabus emblem on them if they are lownehart style rims? Wouldnt you want to get the lowenhart centercap... also the centercap is huuuuge on those so I doubt you'll find a mercedes or brabus centercap that will fit them...

PS also what bike shop does your friend own... Im in the boston area as well and Im looking for some places to have some stuff done on rims I am planning on purchasing this winter- spring...

put up some pics when you get them on.

and in my opinion...putting a lowenhart or brabus emblem on them would be a poserish move. i would find some mercedes one to put on if i didnt have anything from the actual company who made the wheels.

Yeah, chrome would look nice, but it isn't cheap and it'll offset your savings on those knock-offs. Besides, the rim would have to be taken apart to chrome just the lip, and I don't think thats a real multi-piece rim. It'll take major de-welding/re-welding work to do the job. I'd stick with the polished look, IMHO.

I was actually not sure how good then name lowenhart is?...but i'll stay with the cap tho too...and i dont think that chroming rims is offsetting anything, i consider it customizing, making them different, imo...and i'll get those pix up soon too...

and to 55fanatic- what kinda bike u ride?..and i'll tell u his website.. lata

no bike yet... Im def not responsible enough to have one... I do stupid things in a car, I would just kill myself on a bike I think. I made my own lane on storrow drive once in my supra... I split two cars down the middle driving towards NU coming from watertown... I was refering to a set of rims I was going to be getting... does he do work on wheels or just doing a favor for you?

so are you a student here in boston... Since I joined at the end of december I have found a lot of people to be students here in boston... Northeastern in particular... Would you see if your friend could polish a lip... and paint a rim? And as far as lowenhart goes its actually a really good brand for wheels... The LD1(the original design) of the wheel you have purchased is pretty expensive... go to www.dazzmotorsports.com and youll see all the companies that are part of the lowenhart empire

thanx duece, that is what i wanted to kno..how expensive and how good is there rep.,,,cuz i used to own a 2004 clk 500...and i bought the newest "diablo" rims i saw in a magazine..not knowing to much about rims, i got them..then all my boys said i should have bought a better rim for such an expensive car...(which by the way, i am going to be selling them soon..i paid $2,900 with low pro tires)..i have pix of it on my aol acct screen name..i got rid of it the clk..cuz its too small and my payments were high...so now i got a truck that is paid for, but its only a 2000...but after i finished customizing it, no one will kno...will have pix soon...lata
