White/ash: $40,470 (includes the $720 destination)
318 trim: $2,200
324 Sunroof: $1,390

Total: $44, 060
Discount: $1,065

Offered price: $42,995

Is this a good price????????

Dealer's in my area don't discount. Period. They do discounts through the Costco auto program thought. I just ordered a ML500 and got about 1k off sticker.

Discount
Do not worry you have a discount of 25% compared to Europe and added to that higher taxes and fuelprice double.

I'm going to pretty much copy paste my post from https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...&highlight=fax

send a fax to every dealer in the state with the options you want exactly, and tell them they have 72 hours to fax you back the best price they can give you.

You should then shop from there, that way you don't have to ask, 'is this the best price? or could we do better'

Good luck! And keep us updated!

Pricing
My dealer is offering me almost $3000 off on the ML350. He also told me that if I order one, he can do $500 over invoice and can deliver in 45 days. BTW, I paid $1500 below invoice for my C Class a couple of years ago.

We got 3% over our ML320CDI and that's the maximum we could get.

Discounted and i love it
I just got my ML350 one week ago last day in may actually, it is obsidian black with the appearance package, sunroof package, heated seats, power rear door. I negotiated 2850 off of sticker price and i got a hell of a lease deal on it to based on that 2850 off. I got it for 150 over invoice which was great i think. Oh yeah i forgot to mention i love it over my old one.

Peck, What kind of money factor did you get on your lease? The money factor they are offering me seems to be very high - .00365 on MB credit. I am used to paying .00200 - .00250. The residuals on the 06 ML sound good though. Thanks, V

vkaushal, 3,000 off on a brand new model that's awesome congrats!! dealers around chicago seem to be tough, even though there are so many of them, i guess they seem united in the price haha.

ML Vs. GX
I think we are leaning towards getting a Lexus GX470. The dealer is offering about $6.5k off on a fully lodaded one and the money factor is .00188 on the lease. The Benz dealers are very arrogant and tough to deal with.

check the edmunds board about that GX before you buy it, lots of problems with it, driveshaft replacements, vibrations everywhere.

discounts
I think ML also has a lot of issues. My friend has an 06 ML with 2000 miles and it has been at the dealer 3 times already - recalls and other issues.

I'm being offered around 3% over invoice. How much lower have other folks gotten the 2006 model for?

Do you think 2% over invoice is a good number to shoot for? (especially given that I have a quality trade-in car that they will make solid money from)

Where are you located? What kind of a money factor did you get on the lease?
