Most likely....

the 2007.1, with a new M-Class.....though..to still have only 1.85 million POI's for this new update...is unacceptable !!!!! Most of the after market system's have 6-7 million POI's !!!!!!! Why can't MB ??????

I understand either the dealer can retrieve this via SDS, or when inserting a new DVD to update the navigation database it will show both the version currently installed and the updated version installing.

Problem is, the dealer says "you have latest version", and I am not sure that is entirely true... so I can hardly ask them.

Why not, PM your VIN and email address I will send a MB datacard along with the part# listed in MB EPC (electronic parts catalog) for your vehicle. Simply reference this part # and have them confirm you have the current navigation database version per your delivery date. BTW, PDI (pre-delivery inspection) stipulates the current version should be installed before the vehicle is delivered to customer. Unfortunately, not all dealers conform – USA and Canada alike.

I doubt the user interface will change with the update and is the main reason I will just take the money I would spend and get a stand alone system from Garmin the REALLY WORKS!!
