How about any new versions of V3, or something that will work in the 06ML model? (V4 had issues)
I keep get dying/blinking diodes with the V3. Not sure why they keep dying (2nd replacement)

V5 are much better than previous gen units. There's been some big leaps in technology we've been able to incorporate into our design including the latest COB based diodes which are brighter, cooler burning, and more durable as well as the constant current IC drives which help regulate current to safeguard low-mid level surging events. Since it's been released, we haven't had any unit fail from usage yet.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just sent you a PM with a couple questions about the V5
Just had another wonderful buying experience from AZN Optics and wanted to share some install pics from their latest V5 LED bulb. (I upgraded from their V3 model)
I installed these in my 06 ML500.
It's still bright out, so I will upload night pics at a later time.
** All pics were taken with my phone **
- Here is the packaging of how the product arrives. Clearly a sturdy box, and the LEDs are tapped to the bottom in a vacuum sealed bag so that they don't move and risk being damaged. Very efficient packaging.
- Here are the bulbs, side by side. V3 on the left and V5 on the right. Clearly a significant upgrade!
- Here is where I removed one of the V3s from the housing. It shows how the bulb sits in the socket, both on and off. (I use the gloves when dealing with the lights, as I don't want to get any sort of oils from my skin onto the connectors)
- Here is the V3 bulb in the light housing on the left side, which I haven't removed yet. I will use it to contrast the V5 installed look in the upcoming pics.
- Here you have the V5 installed in the light socket. I will say that this was a lot harder to get in than the V3. I was very conscious about the small tabs that are in the center of the connectors that slide into the socket. You can see what I'm talking about in the side by side picture above. (I found slight left/right wiggles helped slip it in without having to use brute force)
- The V5 is now installed back in the light housing and you can see what it looks like up close, both on and off.
- These are various pictures of the V5 installed and ON, both by itself and together with various other lights that the car has. This car does have active curve lights and has Bi-Xenon Low beam lights. (Fog lights, Low beam, High beam can all be seen in these)
- These were taken in my garage, some with the overhead light on and some off. I tried to illustrate that the color is very close to the Bi-Xenon, really can't tell the difference when you're 3ft. away. The blueish hue is only evident in the pictures, eyes can't really pick up the difference, I even asked my neighbor and he couldn't see a difference in person either.
- Here I moved the car outside. You can really see the blueish hue disappear and the light looks clean and crisp. Even though it's still bright outside you can clearly tell that the bulbs are on.
- These are also a combination of shots with varying lights ON. One with just the LEDs (with a close up), and the other with Low beams and Fogs as well.
Thanks for viewing my pics and install!!
Again, I'm really pumped about the new V5 LEDs, definitely and upgrade from the last V3 I was previously running.
If you have any questions about the install (removal/install techniques) I'll do my best to answer them.
Got some night shots, again taken only with my phone.
The difference is AMAZING. They are actually a lot brighter than I thought. Although, to my interpretation, they didn't shoot the light forward as much as the V3, they make up for it by filling the whole area with light. These suckers are bright!
Here's how ONLY THE V5s light up the wall about 6ft. away:
(Only other source of light was a street light ~35ft. away)

I wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it! The V5s are remarkable.
Not to jack this thread, but I tried a set from azn and a set from mtec in the past. The older set from Azn was terrible color(new ones look better), and the one from mtec burnt out. Got tired of the city all together and decided to just get rid of it.
Looks a lot better and cleaner, also works as blinker as well.

Looks good. How long ago did you purchase one of our units? Couldn't find your username in any message or reference to a purchase? Curious about the color issue you had and which version of our older units you used.
Hi We have a 2011 ML350 and my biggest issue with the car is how the Halogen lights are so dim at night especially compared to the HID lights of our other cars.
What do you recommend for improving the Halogen lights that came with the ML350? Do you have a plug-in replacement that is LED or HID based? Is it an easy swap?

We can definitely set you up proper. You'll want an H7 HID conversion kit. We carry top end Morimoto kits that are simple plug and play units. Offered in 5000k pure white and 6000k white with a slight bluish hue. Shoot us a PM or email us directly at aznoptics@gmail.com and we'll get the process rolling.

We have a 2010 , what does the HID conversion cost.

Morimoto H7 HID conversion kit retails $150/kit. Kit includes bulbs, ballasts, wiring loom, igniters, and canbus cancellers for both headlights. Morimoto kit comes with a 5 year warranty and comes in 5000k (pure white) or 6000k (white with a slight bluish hue).
For your plates? Not quite that simple unfortunately. For there to be enough resistance built in to the unit, there'd be too much heat generated which would damage the surrounding components. We're working it though.
Have halogen reflectors and don't want to blind oncoming traffic with an HID conversion? Good call! We also carry full line of Morimoto Bi-Xenon projector retrofit kits from FX-R stage III and IV to Morimoto Mini Stage III!
