It does have a drainplug on the passenger side of the pan if you are an "Old School" believer.
I am not familiar with Infiniti service, but I assume you are familiar with the extreme specifics of a M/B.
0W40 full synthetic 229.5 approved oil and not to mention the 8.5 qts at 7.00 per.....
and the O rings on the filter housing.....all in all, an easy job.
I use a dealer bought filter and drain plug gasket and Advanced Auto Parts for the oil. The O rings will come with the filter.

Same procedure, drain and fill.
0W40 Mobile 1 (walmart is best deal).
Exception: It use a canister type oil filter.
~$22 dollars (including drain plug O ring) at the dealer.
Uncap the canister and replace the filter and some O rings inside.
Good Luck

borrowed from another board and thread. Here's another response with directions.
I just performed my first oil change on my wife's 2008 ML350, and all cars should be so easy.
1) 10 mm socket/ratchet
2) 13mm box wrench
3) plain-jane conventional oil filter wrench
4) funnel
5) paper towel
6) drain pan
I chose to remove the plastic cover below the motor and drain the oil in a conventional manner. (plus, I wanted to see what was under there). Remove the 9 screws with the 10mm socket and pry out the 2 small pins at the front edge with a small flat screwdriver. Remove the drain plug with the 13 mm wrench. Replace plug and cover, all done down here. Remove the forward portion of the 'decorative motor cover' (it just pops right off-no tools). The filter is right before you with a black round cap. Unscrew the cap like any other oil filter and withdraw. (no mess). Pull off and replace the filter element and 3 o-rings. (it will be obvious). Replace and tighten. Fill with oil to spec.
Replace engine cover. Done.

I changed my oil last weekend using the same method and figured out that the smallest o-ring that came in my kit (purchased at dealer) actually fits at the top of the dip stick. I changed it out...all good. Maybe everyone already knew that, but for what it's worth...2 cents worth.

Try this....stand facing the front of your ML. Look down the front of the engine on the passenger side. I sticks out pointing toward the front of the vehicle. It is a 13mm nut and you will need the copper crush gasket to replace the old one after you have drained the pan.
