Purchase Help- VMI Question

Hello all! Seeking advice from the board members. I am looking at a '10 ML Bluetec for my wife. When I was looking over the VMI a few things looked out of the ordinary. I was hoping to get some clarification on what some of the codes could be. I tried contacting the selling/servicing dealership but they couldn't help me. All of these repairs seem to have been before the car was sold as a CPO vehicle in 2013. I can't imagine a car being sold (CPO) by the dealership with body damage.

1. Body component repair Code 070
2. Sublet repairs 098

Thank you in advance!

If I were you, I wouldn't buy a Mercedes Diesel. They are money traps and the traps are extremely large.

Would you mind elaborating? Seems like the Diesels have less issues than the gas MLs. I understand the oil cooler is an issue, but this one was replaced less than 10K miles ago.

Why don't you do the research and look at all the diesel-related threads here on the forum?

Interesting. So you take offense at being told the most effective way to judge the reliability of the diesel MB's of the model groups covered in this forum is to search for "diesel" and read? What do you want, for someone to spoon feed you information that is already there?

And CPO's are sold with body damage all the time, because for example neither MB nor the dealers have to report damage in transit that was repaired before the car was put up for sale. Put a paint thickness sensor all over any of the BRAND NEW cars at the dealership and prepare to be surprised.
