New Wheels

Well, new 22" on the ML. I'm sure people will have their own opinions... but I like them!

Very nice!!! Have you noticed any difference in the ride smoothness going from stock 19's (I assume) to the 22's?

You certainly notice the bumps a bit more, but it's still really smooth. When I left the tire shop, they had 50psi in each tire - and that was rough. Dropping it back closer to the standard recommended pressure made it a lot better.

The rear is 22x10.5 in the rear, and front I beleive is 22 x 9.5... but don't recall exactly. I'll have to check when I get home. Unfortunately, that's not until Christmas. Until then, I'm stuck in Switzerland, driving a Golf.

Thanks HoustonC230. As I would like to replace mine with the widest possible Rims and Tires I would very much appreciate it if you could check when you can. If it is not too much trouble to take a photo from the side that would be great too.

Correction - they are 22x9 and 22x10.5. I wouldn't go any wider (besides maybe 9.5 in the front). Maybe with a custom offset you could, but if you're looking at that, then your shop can make the right call.

The width is right at the fender already.

If you PM me your email, I can send you a larger picture that you can see some more detail.

Looks nice, however if those are summer tires good bye to your off-road capability. Do you still have your stock?

If so which ones did you have?

Sorry, been out of town for a while. They're all-seasons. Just got back from a road trip to Michigan, and no problems on snowy roads.

As far as off-roading goes, I'm assuming you mean a dirt parking lot, since that's about as far off the road this is going to get. I'm not too worried...

I don't have the stock wheels.

About $25 when all was said and done.

$14 for the wheels through Bekkers (got the last pair with the AMG rep logo on them) and $11 for the tires through Wheel Works...

Hmmm not bad at all. Like the look. I'll have the Sport pack with the 20s, but I still think they are not big enough so I might go with 22s

Bit of a trademark violation, perhaps?

Exactly. There are a few pairs on eBay without the logo.
