Confirmation of lighting package delay

Same here. Although my SA told me that from the start. I'm hoping that they'll have them available earlier and they are just under promising on the availability now

It also seems backwards to me that they are fulfilling P1 orders before P2 (no idea what P3 is). My only thought is that those going for the higher option package may be more likely to wait it out and not cancel their orders.

YYZ my deal cant order the lighting package computer wont let him as they are not available. How did you get yours? As Im in Ontario as well
should be the same right.

I put my order through, P1 w/ lighting package, on 10/30 and got a call from the dealership yesterday that mine is still going through. He said since my name was tied to the order, they are allowing those so it won't be delayed.

So apparently there were a few orders that went through recently in Canada with the lighting package. My dealer called me yesterday and told me they are going to try to push my order through anyway. So I'll let everyone know what happens. Hopefully the system will allow the order to go through.

P1 Named Orders
The key seems to be to have a P1 (highest priority) order with the customer name attached to it. Dealer placed my P1 order on 11/7 for the first decade of January, and I have not been advised of any delays - yet. I must say though, I fully expect to have the order delayed.

How did you order?
I was actually with the dealer Manager on his computer and MB Canada wont let him place an order for the ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS PKG.
Are you saying you have a build date or that you like me have a paper order only? Mine since MAY And MBUSI say delayed till at least March.

Sorry, dougiebear, to clarify, this order was placed on the "system", then printed out. So it was a specific scheduled vehicle that was modified to include my selections. The lighting package was available for selection by the SA, along with all the SPC options that you need the order guide to know of. But, you raise an excellent point. In the US (and if I recall, it is the same in Canada) dealers are assigned vehicles in different production decades. My dealer had a "changeable order" in the first decade of January. That allowed him to build it to my spec, move it to P1 status and associate my name with it, meaning an order had been written and deposit paid. But, (big but) it could easily change, and I suspect very much that it will. I have not yet got confirmation from my SA that the order has been confirmed, pushed back or what. I should hear sometime this week. As soon as I get some word on it, I will post.

You didn't put any money down you don't get them "yet" quite simple folks. The option is not going away!
Getting tired of people that think MB is a magic show for them personally. Retro fit??? Really does anyone really have a clue about the technology they are buying?????? And for about $1000

Was advised today that order pushed back to February from January. BUT - that is just speculation from my dealer. Reality is that MB's order system will not even accept an order for the lighting package on an ML350BT at this time. With the priority being ML550's and ML63's, I am not too optimistic about timing. I think February is optimistic. Fortunately, like Greg, I can wait, and will.

Even worse news
Now the story is the first MLs with lighting package will be 550s and stock orders. Neither of the large dealers in my area have any allocation slots before May for a custom build with lighting package. I ordered 10/30 and the soonest build dates I can get are 5/25 for gas or 6/5 for diesel! That's a 7 month wait! What a terrible rollout on this! Neither dealer has a single allocation of any kind for April or May.
