2013 US order info

The dealer ordering guide says August 2012 as the availability for the ML350 (4MATIC and 2WD). Do you think that is applicable to orders as well or is it just dealer stock vehicles?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I think it's stupid. Why create such frustration? Why not give U.S. MB customers what they want if they are willing to pay for it? They are all made in the U.S., what's the difference between shipping the ML to a US destination vs and Canadian? Same thing for the interior...why can't I order an interior that is only available overseas, especially when MB uses it in the marketing materials (you know, that cross-hatch seat coverings?).
More and more, I'm feeling like I should go back to BMW or try Audi.

Yeah, maybe you're right. I'm just parroting what my SA told me, which I should have mentioned for fair disclosure, since we know they're not always the most reliable source.

Despite what the US documentation Greg posted suggests, the info I've got indicates it's driver's side only for the multicontour. Daimler hasn't been developing a passenger-side active multicontour on new models (212 E-Class, etc) due to the different weight sensing system in the passenger seat of Euro vs NA vehicles. The low take rate doesn't justify the development costs.
I could be wrong, but just sayin!
399 Multi-contour driver/passenger seat with massage and comfort headrests NEW! $1,100
While you're there, could you please ask your SA to print out the latest version of their online ordering guide and list of standard features (like attached here)? Perhaps there might be updated pricing info and new options.

I know the 2013 isn't out yet, but if someone has a different MB with massage seats, please let me know how they work and if you think they are a good option.
