ML350BTC - 17 mpg on the Highway
Pulling a camper and with a roof rack with a full sized spare at 70 mph on the Interstate.

Yeah, that camper looks interesting. Seems from afar, that you could lift it off the trailer and then use the trailer for other things when not out camping. I've been through the Canadian Rockys and here that Alaska is just a pretty. Good luck.

Kimberley Karavan from Australia. It's designed to go off road.

Oh - Oh!!
Got a check engine light and a ticking engine at idle in South Dakota. Closest MB dealer is in Billings, MT - 300 miles away.
Got there, diagnosis is a bad fuel injector; and the ticking is the engine running with one cylinder shut down.
No part in stock. Closest available is Missoula, MT. So we're off on an over night drive to be there first in the AM. At least it's in the right direction; and they claim no harm to the engine with that drive pulling the Karavan.
Onward and upward!

As a follow up to the CEL and the bad fuel injector diagnosis.
The tech discovered that there was an updated firmware available for the engine ECU. He installed it, and the CEL went away to never return.
This also happened to a friend with a 2014 ML350BTC, and the firmware update fixed his, too.

Too bad the first dealer didn't make the discovery about the firmware update. Did they give you any indication as to when this firmware update was released? I'm just curious if I should pay a visit to the dealer (100+ miles away) to get this done before a problem arises. Mine is a late May build so I would hope it had the latest firmware from the factory.

First dealer did it before sending me on. No need for the second dealer. No idea on the date, but it's only to be done if a problem arises with a customer complaint or at a general service.
