2012 ML350 w/just under 6K miles
Hi,
I am taking delivery of a MB certified 2012 ML350 with just under 6K miles in a couple of days. Having the tires swapped out before delivery. Does anyone have any thoughts on any other items that I should have looked at with such a low mileage car? The certification process should evaluate all the fluids and the battery. I know that the brake fluid was swapped after 2 years like the service manual dictates. Just based on its condition I know it was in some kind of climate controlled garage most of the time. I'm just curious if there is anything outside of the certification process that I should get eyes on? My plan is to verify as much of the certification list that I can on my own. It's not that I don't trust the stealership but... I don't trust stealerships.

if your getting it from a mercedes dealer you should be fine, from what i understand they go under a harsh process before even putting it on the lot so you should be in good hands. Did you test drive this car?

On the bright side, if there are any problems, they are likely to fix the issue without giving you too much run-around if you bought the car from MB dealer and the car is still under [original/CPO/extended] warranty.

I did drive it and everything sounded and felt ok. I'm just a little nervous about a car that sat around for so much of its life.
its got a year of bumper to bumper certified warranty. I just have to hope that any issues present themselves during that time period.

When is the warranty up on that? I would think it started from the original in-service date which may have been back in '12. That would mean the bumper to bumper warranty is already up and you're already into the CPO warranty.

We got it with a year of certified bumper to bumper warranty. Sadly, I just dropped it off back at the dealership... Picked it up Thursday night so a whole whopping 3 days. They put new tires on it and had a rim fixed before we got it. Now I have a significant rumble between 40mph and 60 mph.
