if so, the grill is the same, you have two options
1) DIY, there are a LOT of threads on how to do it on your own, there are plenty in the W212 (E class) section because like the ML grille, the E grill has
a huge emblem in the front and the same star can be purchased, just have to wire it
2) Dealer, some dealers have a promotion to install it for $600 (not all dealers have this, just have to search for it)

lighted star on ML400
if you are handy, this is a very quick and easy diy
the lighted star can be ordered on-line for as little as $30
the power wires can be piggy-backed by getting some fuse adapters from your local autoparts store
pick a switched fuse from the box in the engine compartment-many options exist
run the wires-no need to drill
use cable ties to secure

From the chart of the buyers I ordered form it does differ.
2013-2015 are the same but not 2012 and your right, I looked around bit and couldn't find any that fit a 2012.
You should maybe contact a few vendors on eBay, hopefully one of them should be able to help.

Which fuse location are you guys using under the hood? I have the wires run to the fuse box in the engine bay on the passenger side, just not sure which one to tap.
I want it on a switched fuse so light will not stay on 24/7.
I currently tap in F233 but will buy this week fuse holder blade to use F218.
The difference is when in F233 it light up when the engine is running.
In F218 is whenever in ON position and turn at night about 30sec after the car is close. kind of just like the DRL.
