2013 M.B. ML350, location of Sirius XM Tuner/Module..
Anthony
min addition there are a boat load of Sirius XM tuners for sale on eBay so I automatically assumed it’s a separate unit located under a seat or something
Do you have NTG 4.5 or 4.7?

Go into your settings the next time you are in your car, select audio, let the options drop down, tell me what you see?
My car offered am, fm radio, SAT, Aux, and some other options.
After installing this new carplay kit, the SAT option is no longer in the selection.
If for whatever reason we DONT have our cell phones on us in the car, we are UNABLE to play Sirius radio in the car because that option is gone.
Now does it make more sense to you?
Clearly we can play XM through our phone through carplay but what if we didnt have our phones? what if someone borrowed the car? cant use Satellite radio if the option is no longer there.
Hopefully I was more clear.
DIDN'T HELP! I'm still missing the SAT Satellite option through the Audio Source selections! Awful mess. I will say, if you decide to install an aftermarket Apple Carplay kit be very careful with this...
Not good at all. I tried to do something nice for my wife's car and I ended up, somehow, ruining the Sirius XM Receiver and or the entire comand radio...
Nightmare!
My next step is to purchase a new Sirius XM Receiver, I finally found where it was..
Would you like to know where the XM receiver was? Glad to share!
Snappage real bad! I Had to remove the entire front drivers side seat, remove the rug and a boat load of plastic covers, nuts, bolts etc. etc. And there it was... sitting in a pretty german plastic cradle nice and warm snuggled up locked into a huge plastic tub... WORST place in the world to mount something!
If you are craving Apple Car play and you want to upgrade by buying this kit? DON'T BOTHER! WHAT A JOKE!

I am experiencing the "device not connected" fault recently, in my 2013 ML350. I was planning to disconnect the Sirius receiver as advised in other threads, but after seeing your post, I did not even try.
I did disconnect the main battery instead. It did not seem to fix the issue at first, but after another restart, the problem went away. We'll see if it comes back again...
