1st post
My name is Lee. I just bought a 2013 ML 550 AMG edition. I love my car. Im working on it now. But once I get it cleaned up I will post some pictures. The #5 coil is bad and created a permanent code. So while I wait for my coil to arrive im trying to get everything ready. I gotta find the battery so I can disconnect it. Do I need to disconnect the secondary battery as well? Anyway. COIL OR CYLINDER

As soon as you disconnect primary, secondary is forced to drain.
Knock on wood about Cyl#5 misfire to be resolved with one new coil.
In case it keeps misfiring save your time without dealing with injectors... BORESCOPE cylinder walls and piston crown - Cyl.#5 75% likely to have low compression. The question is how much losses?
