And that is MB Hypoid Gear Oil (85W-90), part number A001 989 17 03 10. If you can find an alternative that meets MB spec sheet 235.7, go for it.

How much this could cost at the dealership?

My car is getting close to the 2000 miles mark.

Your car needs a different oil, and it only needs changing if you have the optional limited slip diff on your car. Call your dealer to check the cost, it varys dear to dealer.

Do you happen to know the specs of the oil? I believe it is an ATF but I cannot remember the weight, etc.

Btw C63 guys, definitely change it at the recommended interval. I changed my friend's and his fluid looked like mercury since it had so much metal in it.

It requires Castrol SAF XJ 75w-140. this lube contains all the LSD additives that's required. It's avail as MB part number A001 989 5203.

MB spec 235.61

Best to not do it yourself and get either the dealer or and indy to change it so that if there is a future problem with the diff you remove the chance of your warranty being voided, this is especially important for people would circuit race their car. Make sure the correct oil is listed on the invoice before driving away.
