Can you powder coat aluminum wheels?
has anyone done it? i have read that it can weaken the aluminum?

You certainly can powdercoat alloy wheels, the company I bought my wheels from offers it on any style they sell.

Not a problem,the powder sets at a temp.that is to low to cause trouble.
