Please Help with code: P1747
My check engine light came on and I got code P1747 from the OBII scanner. Well, after Autozone checked the codes, the check engine light went off. What the does that code mean? The print out says Manufacturer Control Transmission. My transmission is going??? I hope not...

Have you tried basic Google? I'm getting multiple hits but since I've not
used a OBD II unit thing before, I'm not sure if P-codes are same across
manuf/models. I did see one reference to Mercedes so give that a shot.

Thanks for the link Ferris.
I took it to the dealer and they came up with the same code. They pointed it to a faulty fuse and replaced it. The lights off now and everything seem to be fine! Funny thing, the same thing happened to my buddy's CLK, but I didn't put two and two together. Oh well, thanks for the link...I'll keep it handy.

magic fuse
I have seldom seen protective fuses to be responsible for trouble cause.
Save your time/money... scan your chassis for actual faults.
Can swampy modules short out power: yes of course bad electronics can rope in attention.

it was Prefuse link #132 ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Ppl want to believe defective fuses can fix issues.... it's like asking a bank teller what stocks are safe or what mutual funds are profitable.
Got to scan chassis to know!
