CPO Thresholds

CPO Thresholds
Hello All,
Long time viewer, first time poster. Proud owner of a 2020 C43 and just picked up a 2018 GLE350 for the wife (Moving out of a C300). The 2018 is a CPO, 8,500 miles and roughly four years from its in service date.
The reason I am posting here as I believe only a MB Tech could answer this question. In order for a CPO to pass inspection, what level must the battery be - as expressed as a percentage? Reason I ask is I had a heated debate around replacing the four year old battery before pickup, which the manager refused. When I returned home the battery tested at 505CCA, and even after fully charging with a NICO Tender it only read 535, back to 505 this morning after driving. I believe the CCA new is 900 or 850CCA? Would a battery that will only hold 50% of its rated CCA pass a CPO inspection?
Thanks in advance!

in it for scalps...
A lot of these newer cars eat battery even on good days.... Try to negociate instead of pulling hair! Spend some to get some.

Thanks for the advice but boy did I try, I offered to take the battery as parts only and install myself, or even meet half way on a replacement cost and he refused both.

Thanks very much - question for you (if you know) does the Midtronics Test Print out actually provide a non-subjective read out of it the battery needs to be changed? Reason I ask is the they did phone me this morning and said "as long as the car starts the battery doesnt need to be changed" which is absolutely ridiculous, and then said "As long as its over 500 the battery is fine" which is also ridiculous.
If it doesnt provide a definitive "Change" or "Good" readout, I am just arguing an ambiguous threshold. I'd need to know what MB Technical Guide defines as needing to be changed.

Save yourself the aggravation of dealing wth MB service and get a new battery at Autozone. Half the price and made in Germany. If MB batteries were special, they wouldn't crap out in 3 years.

Love tight logic that simplify issues...
When you fight with a dude on commission, you're fighting uphill. The SA job is to squeeze your wallet with a smile.
The $200 AGM are installed for $700 without any CAN troubleshooting (correct me if I'm wrong). This sweet cash-cow is designed to work upscale drivers ...
Instead may I suggest you figure what's killing your AGM battery proper.... then enter in CTEK religion:
[Float-MAIN/AUX, Reboot, Drive, Scan... ]
Free yourself away from the merry-go-round... don't get hooked!
