Can you members assist a newbie?

After spending over 30 minutes with Customer Service ( a misnomer) with no assistance, I am writing you Techies in hopes of acquiring contact info for the MB District Mgr over the Dallas, TX. area. Am trying to locate a Power Steering Mounting Bracket for a '91 MB 350SDL part # 606-236-03-30 which none of the dealerships in Dallas have in stock, & indicated no delivery info for this part from Germany. I would love to speak with the Executive Assistant to Mr. Dimitris Psillakis, CEO of MB-USA. If you can assist, kindly reply to this post & thank you in advance! Diesel-Ed.

Ed, you think MB does not want to sell this '91 33 yr old part to you?

Perhaps you can contact Ken at "MERCEDES SOURCE" in Washington. Hes a die hard MB Diesel expert. I am sure you've heard of him.

Your best bet is to search for a gently-used part.

I highly doubt you will find this part new from Mercedes. Cali has a good idea, but you are taking about a 33 year old car. Heck, Mercedes quit producing new key fobs for 10-year-old cars.

Do an online search for wrecking yards
search 1991 Mercedes 350SDL
or have wrecking yards look for one for you

My guess you have to find a wrecked one and call them up as they will probably want to sell you pump with bracket

what happened to original bracket?
I mean how does one get destroyed that you need new one?

Momma ‘racked’ the steering wheel too far while backing out of a parking space, a MB no-no & sheared off the bracket & serpentine belt.

JettaRed: Your point is well taken. After a lengthy discussion with Pelican Parts, I was advised that MB has virtually kicked prior owners to the curb & are not interested in servicing or providing parts for their loyal brethren…Loyalty is a two-way street…they appear to have forgotten this. Thanx again.
