wagon up north
Have been looking to upgrade my pepper to a AMG wagon.
I found one but it had front end damage for 26000 and repaired by the dealer. The repair was very well done.

I'm sure I can find the answer by searching, but do Canadian cars have the required Fed stickers to register them over the border?

Its been suggested before but someone really should create a separate WTB thread for the S212 AMG Wagon.

Yes they can be imported and registered. I have done hundreds of vehicles and I have never had any mercedes vehicles not comply. For the U.S. The vehicle must be converted to miles which can be done through the steering wheel functions in minutes, recall clearance letter from Mercedes Canada stating there are no outstanding recalls and if there are recalls they must be completed before the car leaves Canada.

I'm actually still looking. I was looking passively, but I now need to get a new car after having my current car totaled in an accident. Timing is everything...

This thread has ended up turning into the "E55/E63 Wagons For Sale" thread, which is awesome

Surprised they didn't bother cleaning up or replacing the rusty lugs before taking pictures. Not a terribly good sign.

Nice wagon...but I still have a tough time justifying a $10k premium for the wagon when the same car in sedan would be $20k-ish?

Well then why pay the premium for the E AMG when you....

Can get a C AMG for less. You are comparing apples to oranges. If you are simply comparing them in terms of performance, yes too close. Although I recall the wagon a tiny bit quicker to 60

Wagon is more exclusive due to the limited production number, and will keep its value longer. Also, the 3rd row seat is a big plus for us family folks (and convincing our significant other!). Then there is all the subjective stuff....Look, rarity, sleeper of a car etc...

I do understand you though...the E sedan will give you 90% of what the wagon does/has. That 10% is that premium!

totally agree with what you are saying above, but its all about the exclusivity of the wagon and appeal to those that love them - i live in Silicon Valley where you see anything high end you can imagine, but only see a few AMG wagons ever - its like of like the saying "those that know, know" - and those that love the wagon will pay the premium -

i can say for sure that the premium was worth it and knowing my car is a 1 of 6 is more of a cool factor for me
