Oily fluid in passenger footwell

Hello fellow w166 m157 ML63 owners. I have issues I hope you all can help me with. I just bought this car, 2013 65k miles, picked it up in NJ and drove it home to MD this past Sunday. I had a ppi done prior purchase and the seller took care of the items on the ppi prior to me buying it, which were a new radiator, radiator hoses, and a new battery. He also had the turbo coolant hoses changed, oil changed, AND transmission fluid changed with TCU reset. The car has been shaking on acceleration, and it has not been getting any better while the TCU relearns. I’ll upload a video of it doing it. Tonight I found the passenger footwell soaked in bluish green oily fluid (pentosin transmission fluid for our cars is apparently blue). I was planning to replace the spark plugs this weekend to try to address the shaking since they have not been changed yet but obviously the transmission is involved with the problem now. WTF is going on!?!? Please any assistance would be really appreciated!

Not able to upload much of a video but upon accelrating the car shakes - you can hear the change rattling in the console

Check the expansion tank to see if there is oily residue?

What’s the whole story? Passenger footwell soaked in fluid? Tell what happened.

A long list of work was done apparently not under your supervision. You have alot of variables at play here.

Open the cam sensor and cam magnet harness connectors and check for signs of oil. Read codes and post them here.

no codes showing up on scanning, no lights on the dash. Agreed, lots of work done prior to sale involving fluids. I decided to have MB roadside assistance take it to my local dealer for diagnosis.

Fluid in the passenger footwell is typically a bad heater core…so probably coolant…?

If I had a dollar for every 1st time poster who did not immediately get an answer to their question and never came back to tell anyone the cure, I would have many more dollars. Typical of those looking for a free diagnosis, they don't usually add much to the forums.

yep, this has been terrible. Turns out it needed a new torque converter - 3900 bucks later it runs great. Also the fluid is coolant - turns out i likely have a leaking heater core - so a totally separate issue. Haven't decided what i'm going to do about that yet - i've found an extremely helpful that details taking the dash apart step by step - but i'm still in denial about this BS that i haven't come to grips with that yet. Definitely has been my worst used car purchase, lol.

I had a funny feeling about the heater core... So what do I win? Just kidding of course. Sorry to hear about the torque converter…ouch! Let us know how you make out with the heater core changeout. Heater core itself looks cheap, if that’s any consolation: https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ater+core,6864

And if you had that on the surface of the carpeting, look underneath the floor panel. It's probably a lake down there.
