2014 Mercedes ML 63 AMG
Reason for the post the Transmission:
When its warm and up to full operating temperature, it runs and shifts really well. However, when its cold (i live in the northeast) the transmission runs horribly. It stutters, revs high just before it shifts, and generally feels like it needs replacement. Its that bad. When it warms up, it goes back to normal.
Does anyone know why that is? Or heard of that happening?
Appreciate any insight!

It is supposed to be a full oil change + filter. However, not all service people do full oil replacement since some do not flush the torque-converter. Even more reason to shorten the OilChangeInterval
Attached is the service list for 130K and 140K for 2014.

Turn the key to position 2. You should see all the dash lights come on. Do NOT start the car. Position II: You should hear two clicks and all your dash lights should turn on. Do not start the engine.
Press the gas pedal all the way. By pressing the accelerator pedal to the floor, you will activate the kick down switch. Keep the gas pedal pressed all the way to down.
Wait. Continue to keep the gas pedal pressed for at least 10 seconds.
Turn key to OFF, position 0. Don’t remove the key. Some models may need the key to be removed.
Release the gas pedal.
Wait 2 minutes. During this process, key is left in the ignition in the OFF position.
Start the car and drive.
Once you perform this procedure the Engine Control Unit (ECU) and Transmission Control Unit (TCU) will work together to learn how you drive by monitoring your driving pattern. After you follow this programing method of the TCU / ECU drive the car for 15 min. Do not race the car, unless that’s how you plan on driving all the time. You should have a transmission that shifts smooth and normal. You may feel like you have a new transmission!

Questions: Do you ever smell a burning scent? When warm or cold do you notice any slipping? Any leaking? Might not make it all the way to the floor, gotta get under and see if it’s wet. Any whirring noises when driving? Finally, have you noticed any delay in shifting even when warm?
If the TCU reset doesn’t work and yes was answered to any of the above questions, I would recommend finding a reputable Merc repair shop or Euro Trans shop in your area and have the transmission properly serviced. Full Flush, New OEM Filter and the proper Trans Fluid to the proper level.
If that still doesn’t fix it you could be looking at solenoid issues potentially.
Good luck and let us know how you ended up or what the actual problem was!
Cheers,
