Quote: Hey everyone! Thank you for having me. I am new to the MB world, but so far am pleased. I am currently in the Spokane Wa area.

one question that I have that is more of a general question: is there any DIY people in the Spokane area who have or have access to the Star/Xentry tools? I have a few things that are going to require some computer work and I have a hard time paying MB $200/hr for something that is a couple of mouse clicks.

again, thanks for having me here and I look forward to the future with MB products

I googled it and they charge a minimum of $350 for their services. That seems steep for just checking a box

Hi There
Hello All you lovely people,

Just bought my first Merc A200-AMG line last week. Glad to join the community.

My first impression is of being a bit overwhelmed to be honest. I think over engineered and too much tech.
The touch control for everything for a person with big hands and thick fingers is a complete mess at the minute. 1 X 1 cm small area controls volume, song sequence? you have to very very precisely touch something. This is impossible whilst driving.

Every time I switch the car on it starts playing one particular song of one particular folder. No idea how to sort this.
The manual is very user unfriendly. I am really looking for some help with using this MBUX. Dealership just sold and then not really bothered any more.

Every time I pass by a parked car in my street, it starts to make noises due to some 360. This is very distractive. How to switch that off? where is the engine temperature gauge? why is the time display so so small taht you have to search really. I think someone really need to give lessons to Merc design engineers on the UI and UX side of things.
Overall struggling at the minute.

Cheers

Hello happy to be here!
I just purchased a 2024 S580 12 days ago....unfortunately on day 8 the Driver Display monitor went black. It has now been at the dealer service center for over 3 days and they cannot figure out what is going on.
It was a great drive and I look forward to getting it back! Has anyone else had such a problem?
Thanks again for the forum!
Paul

Update - the car has now been at the dealer for the last 8 days...out of the 16 days since I purchased it. Still no solutions as to what the problem might be. Pic below

Howdy, Just got another Mercedes
Phillip here in California near Santa Cruz. Ten years ago I got a very nice 1998 SL500. It has been great and still only has 58 K miles (47K when I got it). However my ancient knees and hip are worn out making it painful to get in the low SL500. So I recently snagged a 2015 S550 in very good shape with only 56K miles. Nice to have all the features and much easier to get in and out with bum joints. I will sell the SL. Anyhow I have been on the benzworld forum since getting the SL and decided to check out this forum as well.

Thanks. I am enjoying the S550 with all its features. Hate to see the SL500 go but have limited garage space and could not see leaving it outdoors.

I have seen videos of ILS+, impressive. I do not drive at night so that feature would hold no value for me.
Your service and associated reviews look good. Worth my consideration going forward.
