Problem is I've never worked on my own cars. The dealer only replaces the entire inlet manifold and any mechanic I have spoken to claims the plastic bits in the manifold would be broken and also wants to replace the manifold.
Can anyone advise me who I can go to in my region?
[I will try to repeat this post in a more appropriate thread]

Picked up a W210 97 E320 for the wife
(gotta love that M104 inline 6)
as a daily for safe travels; plans to inherit and convert that into an agressive Street Sweeper for spirited drives (18" Durandals/Work Meisters) after getting her a W203/204 4MATIC (we swear by the 4matic system).
Located in Seattle Washington, feel free contact me on all things Mercedes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Flatbed is always advised for Mercedes towing (partially because of low clearance if angled). Hope this helps.

Recently I had a glow plug go out. When a second glow plug went out a friend decided to change all 5 of them for me. My problem is the #5 glow plug closest to the firewall, the loop on the end of the glow plug keeps breaking off. We've replaced the glow plug 3 times and the same thing keeps happening.
My friend thinks there is probably something knocking around in the cylinder that keep breaking the glow plug off, that I probably need a cylinder sleeve, and that this will probably require taking the engine apart. This all sounds very expensive to me. I would like to know if anyone has any insight regarding this problem. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the forum categories here but if someone can suggest a more appropriate thread for me to post this question in I'd be more than happy to do that. Thank you.
