1973 450SL
found it!
Well it took me years but I finally found a project 450SL. Located a 1973 with 86000 miles.
Pretty rough shape but the potential for this car is excellent. I just started working on it. Looks like the years of sitting has claimed all the rubber including the new looking tires.
So my first of many questions. What is the best solution for a cracked dash pad? Do aftermarket covers look OK?

Welcome to MBWorld! Grats on scoring your new project. So the question is, are you looking to restore with as much OEM as possible? Finding an OEM dash I'd think would be challenging, but that's also part of the fun with older model restores. If you're fine with aftermarket, take it to an upholstery shop and get it leather wrapped like you see in today's high end models.
