Welcome to MBWorld. There should be plenty of power mods available for your w209. What are your plans? Tune? Headers? Intake? Exhaust?

I have a spare motor in my car hole
I plan on twin or single turbo and so far I haven't found much info on forged rotating assembly for the clk500 not sure what people are doing with these motors can't seem to find the right info I'm still looking for it I have found a few that offer ridiculous Mercedes prices and I'm sure a piston that fits the hole doesn't know it's not a mustang hole lol so I'm looking for some custom parts I guess or rather I'm going to take this motor and tear out the cams Pistons rods crack etc.. Take them to my local machine shop and ask them to find me an exact fit forged assembly and then put that back in I guess not like my mustang where there's already a kit available. But I have plenty of time the motor in mine is still beastly and I picked up this spare for 200$ nothing wrong with it except for 210,000 miles on it but pulled it from a running great car.
I wanted to do heads cams etc but the guys I've talked to so far are spitting 8,000 plus I'm like I can buy a nascar motor and have it welded in place for that kind of money and it will have ridiculously more horse power.
Also I found a fellow who has put a turbo on his stock motor and is getting 420 to the wheels he has a video on the dyno on YouTube sounds pretty sweet I would be happy with that bump in horse but I would like to build a motor that could handle 20 psi but if it's not feasible or fiscally responsible then I'll settle on 5.5 psi or 7-8 as he claims from the video. If that's truly possible and the stock bottom end can put up with that abuse.

Awesome. You think there's room up in front to mount the turbo or were you thinking remote turbo? Either way, look forward to following her progress!

Let us know if you want to tackle any less daunting upgrades like upgrading the lights. We have plug and play LED/HIDs which will really give her a nice modern facelift with whiter/brighter lights

Yea I got an hid kit already from eBay love that place I'll see how well they work in my ride soon enough I bench tested them and they are blinding for sure. I need a diagram for how to hook them up it seems a little confusing the only leads to hook to the existing wiring aren't plug and play I'm not sure which to cut and splice the factory socket wires or the factory wires going to the factory ballast?
As far as turbo location the closer to the manifold the better I know but I haven't really looked at a blueprint of the vehicle to see where it would be the most efficient and least modifications. I'd like to keep the factory hood but If I need some clearance it may have to be cut and fabricated for some clearance maybe with the twins peaking through the hood a bit like nostrils of the bull!
I have ideas and can't wait to work on it I know it will be sick when I am done I'll be sure to post plenty of pics along the way

Not tiring to be a troll or anything but if you want to mod the car why start with the 500 and a rag top (weighs more)? The 550 is already much faster and the 55 seems to have all the internals you are looking for already there. With the money you send on mods to get it as fast as a 55 you could just buy the AMG.
