Just bought a 2008 C300
Hey guys just bought a C300 to try out the Mercedes life.
I mostly bought it for a road trip so I'd quit having to worry about getting my project car to make it since it just popped its second head gasket on its second swap engine. After a little looking around and advice from the girlfriend here I am. I'm hoping this turns out to be a good car, I couldn't find too many issues looking around this forum other than the EIS which I think I read Mercedes issued a recall for.
I look forward to figuring out what all the buttons do, I thought my CTSV had a lot going on, so I'll be looking around the forum for info. While I have the attention of people with patience since your looking at the newb threads, is there any preventative maintenance I should start on at 74k?

Welcome to MBWorld. Grats on the w204 pickup. Luxury version also which you don't see as many of here. Really a great and reliable ride. There are some recalls and TSBs you'll want to make sure are performed. That platform has been well explored though so you'll find tons of information on her in the w204 subforum.

Thanks guys, I wondered what model I had but not enough to look I guess. I'm having to avoid any threads pertaining to modifying since I already have too many projects around the house. There is one thing I want to add at risk of being burned at the stake and that is a trailer hitch, I just ordered the curt hitch and wiring harness, hope it all works well and doesn't make my car look dumb.
