Hello - 2002 ML320 RH-Drive Here
Hello Everyone,
I'm moving to Southern Africa in a few months and just purchased a 2002 right hand drive MB ML320 from a car dealer in Japan. Hopefully, It should be arriving right around the same time as me.
I've never had a MB before. I'm looking forward to working on it. I've been scanning the forums over the past day or two to begin getting a sense of the culture. Anyway, thought I'd register and stop in to say hi!
All the best,
Dog Tired

I can do you one better - here's the link for the car from the Japanese car dealer:

As you can see from the pics, there's a little bit of cosmetic damage to include the shift knob. I found a replacement on RockAuto for about $85. Are there other good MB parts sites?
Thanks!

Welcome to MBWorld and grats on the purchase? So you bought her sight unseen and had her transported to a foreign country? That's a big risk, but hopefully no issues. She looks to be in fairly good condition eyeballing.

Thanks. It's a huge risk without a doubt. Unfortunately, it's also the only way to get a vehicle into the country. Hopefully, there are no surprises waiting for me!

First thing would be to find a good local mechanic that can work on MBs. Ideally one with access to a STAR diagnostic machine... just in case
If you're handy though, forums here have a good amount of DIYs though you can follow if something comes up and we're all fellow MB enthusiasts so we'll help you out whenever and wherever we can
