My New W211 E63 AMG!
Hello all! I have been stalking the posts in this forum for weeks now, the learning curve is immense! I just picked up this baby a month ago
She has 98,000 Miles, I paid 22,000 US out the door.
Well worth it for me so far, except for the quirks...Yes the quirks
That damn 7 speed is perfect when it decides to be! Rest assured, all maintenance is up to date with an extra fluid flush all around for good measure. This car is good luck though, aint it? I mean, this car is obnoxious! What a beast, I call her a hooker.
Does anybody have any awesome facts to share about this car? From what I know, there were about 1500 sent to the US in 2007, I always wonder how many are left on the road...Seems to be quite a rare breed indeed.

Your transmission mounts sent from "Corteco" are NOT OEM Fitting mounts...In fact..They don't even have the holes in the correct spot. If you wish, I can remove my current AMG STAMPED tranny mount and show you. AMG W211's (07 from experience, not sure about other years) use a mount which is accurate to the AMG spec. This is definitely a message to AMG owners..Don't buy Corteco mounts. I can see that this mount might fit a V6 engine, or even the E550 NON amg model. This mount is soft, and it doesn't bolt up. I might have been convinced if the rubber was solid and the mounting holes lined up properly.
Side Note: I have requested a return, however I do not believe I should pay for shipping.
Next. I can be your best friend or your worst enemy, I can guarantee you I will side with the truth and reality always.
I am going to take the time to take a picture of the WRONG amg mount, as other manufacturers such as NAPA have provided we with SOFT flex plates resulting in serious drivetrain SLOP.
It seems that ONLY Merecedes parts fit..Until you guys prove me wrong...I'm sticking to my statement. Not because I want to, because I have to. Your parts do not fit as advertised. When you look at an authentic AMG mount it is MUCH better built all around..including but not limited to..Rubber strength, metal density and size, proper sizing, proper hole (tap) locations, and generally the entire part was extremely weak compared to a real AMG mount its not even visibly the same.
MY EXPECTATIONS: I paid 22 grand for a 10 year old car....Sure its not a "lot" however...If you sell me cheap parts I will raise hell. Next time try to drill the taps in the right position.
If you send me a REAL AMG mount, not only will I brag about you, but I will advertise the **** out of you..Why? Because AMG.
I can't afford to pay the dealer every dime..I need to be able to COUNT ON a reliable parts source and so far I have NOBODY. So, I bought a warranty from Delta.
Tell me I simply encountered a shipping error? Because I understand that Pelican Parts sell "advertised" AMG Mounts....
Hah.
Sorry I didn't buy the OEM option.
Not sorry.
When there isn't a hole for a center bolt as required by W211 AMG 7speed transmission equipped vehicles...
Lets see how its handled. I'm taking extra time to explain this to you guys because I care too!
Thank you Pelican Parts for the BEST customer service and the BEST shipping calculations..Even the prices are GOOD....Why can you not send me a free return label and make it right? I smell demise from the start....Take it from here Pelican Parts.
I'm serious about my car. Not everyone can go to the dealer and pay 600 dollars for a Tranny mount replacement. I'm never that guy to be jealous..I believe in positive reinforcement...Let a man work on his car...Let a man receive real parts. I'm happy to say that I am the first and only man on the net to provide this reality...That's why the brutality prevails with AMG owners....
Not enough Information for people like me...NO excuse for it.

I mean...PM or call them and give them a chance to fix it, privately. May be just a simple part # slip-up and you put them on blast here before learning if they would refund your shipping.
It's a transmission mount.
