Hi guys, I am a Turkish citizen who work and live in Qatar. In Turkey we have unbelievable taxes for buying a new car, specially over 2.0 l engines. For example an E 350 (2.0 l engine version) is 126.000 usd in Turkey and average engineer salary is just 1.000-1.200 usd 
So getting a new mercedes is just a dream.
Fortunately now I am working and living in Qatar and earn more than Turkey and also cars are inexpensive. Anyway I bought a 2006 model ML 500 (w164) last month and it is my first mercedes. Normally I have a company car (toyota fortuner 4.0) but we need a second car for my wife and driving in desert (desert safari) for fun.
I will share my experinces in its own topic.
