I had a clk 320, then a clk 430 which was great but then I got an offer I couldn't refuse. Then after several different types of roadsters,02'T-Bird, 99 XK8, and Allante I was looking at a really nice a5 Audi but what caught my eye was an SL 500 covered up. I know it has issues but to me very simple fixes to manage.The top locks leaked across the windshield and I fixed those right away. The hood has a blemish but I'm nearly finished prepping it for paint. I'm really happy with the purchase and love the performance the engine has,tranny is tight and shifts really nice. I hope to post pics soon but I'm going in the hospital for a few days
. I understand the hydraulic system very well and plan to remove and replace the rest of the seals/o-rings with the next couple of months. I'm a retired elevator mechanic with a new project and look forward to getting this SL on the road.
